Preschool Classes, Birth - 5 Years
Les & Melessa Enterline, Directors

Children acquire faith little by little starting from birth. Luke 2:52 says, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." Our Preschool Sunday School Division helps lay the foundation for a child's spiritual development. Learning for all preschoolers centers around eight basic concept areas. They are: God, Jesus, the Bible, family, self, others, and the natural world.

Nursery, 104C
Teachers: Barbara Blalock, Craig Miller, Al Putnam

Infants will experience happy feelings associated with God, Jesus, and the church through their senses as teachers talk, sing, and read to them and provide for other sensory experiences. They will learn that church is a safe and happy place where people love and care for them.

Toddlers, 104A
Teachers: Michael Gorham, Lisa Hale
Toddlers will learn about God, Jesus, family, and God's world as they play, explore their environment, and interact with their teachers and other children. They will experience the church as a happy place to visit and where playing with others is fun.

Twos, 104B
Teachers: Barbara Goodwin, Teresa Hitt

Twos will continue to grow in their in the concept areas of God, Jesus, family, and nature as they have group time and learning projects added to their play time. They will begin to see church as a fun place where they have new and fun experiences.

Threes, 104D
Teachers: Gary & Sandy Bowen

Threes will grow in their limited understanding of the eight concept areas as they sing, pray, listen to Bible stories and share their thoughts during their group time. Through play and other activities they will learn how to share and work with others. They will be affirmed by their teachers and encouraged to express themselves.

Fours, Room 105
Teachers: Carolyn Pierce, Lori Shipe, Kristine Weir

Fours will continue development in the eight concepts areas as they pray, learn songs, Bible verses and stories. They will be encouraged to express their own feelings and solve their own minor conflicts. They will begin to have special music time during the Sunday School hour where they learn through song and motion.

Fives, Room 106
Teachers: Debbie Hoysa, Miriam Pearson, Anne Ritchie
Fives will deepen their understanding of God, Jesus, self, family, and interpersonal relationships, and their environment and world as they through their lessons and activities. They will learn and develop through play, interactions with others and special activities. They will learn to give to others as they make cards and gifts.

Extended Session
Birth through three remain in their same classroom and continue their learning experience during Extended Session. Fours and Fives go with their parents to the beginning of the 11 a.m. worship hour until they are dismissed to Children's Church, where they will experience their own worship time in Room 106.
