Three-hole Chinas

Many of the body styles that can be found in the two-hole and four-hole china buttons
can also be found in the unique three-hole button.

In this scan you will find banded inkwells,
piecrusts,
a tire shape (the black button),
a saucer shape and a dish shape,
a hobnail,
and calicoes.
The buttons shown here are all diminutives (size 3/8" or less)
and were probably used for baby clothes.
