My main resource for preparing this site is a handbook
prepared and distributed by The National Button Society:
  Guidelines for Collecting China Buttons
by Ruth Lamm, Beatrice and Lester Lorah, and Helen W. Schuler
with an addition Essential Data Concerning China Buttons
by Lillian Smith Albert and Jane Ford Adams.
The book was published in 1970 and copyrighted in 1970 and 1994.
It contains drawings and black and white photos
of all of the recognized china button body styles and decorative patterns...
of course collectors are always on the look-out for an unlisted china button.
This organization provides many valuable resources
for the button collector.
Members receive five issues of The National Button Bulletin each year.
On the inside back cover of each Bulletin
is a listing of books and booklets published by the organization
 (including the Guidelines... mentioned above.)
Membership information can be found on the society website: National Button Society
The Texas State Button Society publishes a Bulletin twice yearly.
Membership information can be found on the society website:
 Texas Button Society
Most states have a button society associated with the National Button Society.
If you aren't from Texas, the National Society can help you contact
the button society in your state.
Below is a listing of some (but by no means all) of the excellent resources for button collectors.
Each of these resources addresses china buttons in addition to many other materials.

Thank you for visiting my site.
Please come again as I add more buttons.
I want the information on this site to be as correct as possible...
if you find errors, please let me know...or if you just enjoy china buttons
as much as I do, please let me know that, too!
