Pregnancy Journal- page 10

6/23/1999-So many things can happen so quickly in pregnancy, especially a twin pregnancy! We went in for our usual 2 week  appointment with OB when we were told that Baby A had low amniotic fluid. I was put on complete bedrest immediately, and  scheduled for another Level 2 u/s as soon as an appointment  was available (out of town, with a specialist). I got the   impression that this was very serious...but didn't realize how serious until I got home and did a little research online. Having  low amniotic fluid could mean a number of serious conditions or nothing urgent at all. I won't go into the details of what the  research listed, but I suddenly felt complete panic! We had our  u/s just two days later (I was about 21 weeks LMP when this was discovered). We found out that the baby did have all her  vital organs *thank GOD above*...and that her fluid was still considered to be normal. However, it's at the low end of the normal range. I've been on modified bedrest ever since and  have had appointments weekly. Both babies are moving like  crazy...hubby thinks we have little soccer players in here! Both  weigh just a bit over a pound and are measuring a little ahead of schedule. So, we are feeling very blessed and continue to pray that things go so well. I'll keep updating. BIG prayers needed for such little girls. :0)
