Here is a short introduction of my self. As I develop this page, I hope to share more with you.
I was 18 when I met Jim. We dated for one year before we became engaged. We are very traditional. We Married on June 13th, 1981. I was just 20 years old. We were so much in love, and still are today.
I am a Mother of two wonderful teenage daughters, Patti, and Tracy. We believe in strong family values. We spend our Sundays as family days. What's great, is that we enjoy being together. I believe in being open with my daughters. We can talk about anything. We are very normal, I know they don't tell me everything. I probly glad about that too.
I come from an interesting family, a blended family. I will share more on this later.
I am lucky to have a lovely Grandmother. She is 92 years old. I love her dearly.
Being a good and trusting friend is important. I find it hard to find time to see my friends because very one is so.....busy in the 90's.
I have been working as a Hairstylist since 1981. I love it!! I have been working at ACT II Hair Designs since 1986. I will defently be letting you know more about this later.
Working in a shop with 13 other women is always interesting. Remind me to tell you about the diet Pepsi man story later. Yes, I said the diet "Pepsi" man.
Yes, I am a club member of River Valley Kart Club. My family have been members since 1990. My husband raced karts with them for 2 years. When my daughters became old enough they wanted to race. In 1993 Patti started to race karts, and in the following year, Tracy entered the novice class.
In 1993, I occasionally volunteered with scoring the races. When 1994 came, I volunteered along with Louise, and Earl with Registration. This was fun, because I got to know all of the racers.
In 1996, I volunteered for head of Sprint Scoring. This is not an easy job, but some one has to do it. I liked that I could talk to my husband over the head phones, he is the race director. There are a lot of hours spent recording and double checking the year end points durring the week. You also get a lot of phone calls from the racers during the week. Later in 1996, my daughters, and myself volunteered to write the Club Newsletter. There is so much to learn, about writing a newsletter. We are always trying to learn how to in prove it. We now call the newsletter Flags. The girls and I feel that each Flags getts better with time.
1997 has been an exciting year with the Sprint series racing at a new faculty. There was much preparation needed to make this a great racing season. I enjoy helping with the club, and hope I have made the last few years more enjoyable for the other members. I have learned a lot, and am constantly tiring to improve on what I am doing. I am looking forward to 1998 with RVKC.
Yes I am a Chauffeur, not what you think though. I am Patti and Tracy's privet Chauffeur. When you have teenagers, you become their Chauffeur. At least until they drive, and then you don't have your car any more. In Illinois, USA, they are considering a law that teens won't drive until their 18. So I guess I will be chauffeuring my daughter's around for a while longer.
I started learning HTML in April 1997. I love it!!! I began with this web site so we could share and gain knowledge of Scoliosis, and the Milwaukee brace. Both my girls decided they would like to add their own pages to our site. So the racing theme was a natural. We were so happy to find GEO CITIES free home pages!!! Thank you.
