2 T. bacon grease (To start, add more as needed) | very green tomatoes, thinly sliced |
1/2 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1/2 tsp. chervil leaves (optional)
Put slices into very hot bacon grease in frying pan. Turn heat to low and cook slowly. They will take about 15 minutes to cook on both sides. Use a couple of frying pans, and about 10 tomatoes. Place the cooked tomatoes in the oven, while you cook the rest. They should taste crisp.
