6 qts. cucumbers, sliced | 1 tsp. turmeric |
1/2 C. pickling salt | 1 qt. cider vinegar |
1 can pimento | 2 tsp. mustard seed |
3 sweet red peppers | 5 C. sugar |

Combine sliced cucumbers and 1/2 cup salt. Cover with water and let stand at least 3 hours. Drain. Chop pimento, pepper and onions. Add remaining ingredients and cucumbers. Boil together 10 minutes. Can hot and seal. Makes 8 pints.
