Hamburger Pie

Ingredients
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion
1 14 1/2-ounce can
French Style
Green Beans
2 10 3/4-ounce cans condensed
tomato soup
4 medium potatoes,
peeled & quartered
1 beaten egg
Milk

In a large skillet, cook meat and onion till meat is lightly browned & onion is tender; drain excess fat. Stir in green beans & tomato soup; let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Stirring occasionally, then pour mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole (medium sized oven safe bowl).
Cook potatoes in boiling salted water till tender, about 20 minutes; drain. Mash potatoes while hot; blend in egg. Add milk to make potatoes fluffy, YET stiff enough to hold their shape.
Drop potatoes in mounds atop meat mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees till heated through, 20 to 25 minutes. Serves about 4 to 6 people.
