6 C. popped popcorn | 1/2 C. margarine or butter |
1/3 C. sugar | 1/8 tsp.salt |
1-3 oz. pkg. fruit flavored gelatin | 1/4 tsp. baking soda |
2 T. light corn syrup | 1/4 C. gummi bear candies |
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Place popcorn in large microwave-safe bowl. In 4-cup microwave-safe measuring cup, combine sugar, gelatin, corn syrup, margarine, and salt. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir; microwave on high for an additional 1 to 2 minutes or until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Stir in baking soda. Immediately pour over popcorn mixture; mix well. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Cool for 2 minutes. Stir in gummi bear candies. Using buttered hands, quickly and firmly press mixture into 6 balls. Wrap each ball in plastic wrap. Makes 6 popcorn balls.
