Sherried Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
2 lbs. beef stew meat
cut in 1-inch cubes
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. cooking oil 1 10 3/4-ounce can condensed
cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup dry sherry 1 1 1/2-ounce envelope
stroganoff sauce mix
1 Tbsp. instant mushrooms,
drained
1/2 cup dairy sour cream

Toss beef cubes with flour to coat. In large skillet, brown meat in hot cooking oil. Drain off excess fat.
Combine soup, sherry, dry stroganoff sauce mix, & instant minced onion; stir into meat along with mushrooms. Turn mixture into a 2-quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees till meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Stir in sour cream. Serve over hot cooked white or brown rice, if desired. Serves 6 to 8 people.
