My Personal Gardening Story

I never thought that I would become this involved in gardening. Back in California in the early '90s, my husband planted our first garden when we were living on Vandenberg Air Force Base. I loved watching him, but also enjoyed helping with planting and watering. I kept up with the watering mostly because I was a stay-at-home Mom.

He's learned thru his mistakes over the years. But he has also given me quite a few "tips" on improving our garden. He still prepares the soil with his huge rototiller. Each year I have become more involved with the planting and maintenance of our garden.

Over the years we have tried our hand at planting the following:

radishes (white & red)
lettuce (different kinds)
spinach
tomatoes (all kinds)
cucumbers
onions
beets
carrots
horseradish
zucchini
beans
peas
strawberries
watermelon

Here is what our "harvest" generally looks like!

Please check out my garden preparation page. I've included some pictures so you can see how Terry's garden grows!

And let's not forget my flowers .
