1999-2000 Junior Meetings

(14th) - For our start-up we filled out our favorite sheets to be put on the homepage. We introduced ourselves because there is alot of new girls. We talked about our traveling mascot. We named him Junior T. Bear. We took a vote on what we wanted our troop crest to be. It will be the Lightning Bolt. We took a vote to start on the Sign of the Rainbow. And we started to make a Texas Twist Key Chain.


(28th) - We went outside with Liz and helped the Brownies with the Listening to the Past try-it. We went into the old cemetary and looked at the tombstones and found the neat ones and also made tombstone rubbings. When we came in we discussed what murals are and what we wanted to paint for a mural. We also took a vote on the bird feeder we wanted to send to the Community Leaders for winning a free pizza party.

(2nd) - We raised the flag at the Harvest Festival.


(9th)- We hung our recycled bird feeders out at a local lake.


(12th) - For our start up we filled out menu papers for requirement #3 for Exploring Healthy Eating badge. After our opening ceremony we discussed what the Investiture ceremony was going to be like. Renee told us to make and bring our favorte recipe for our refreshments that day. After we split from the Brownies we started to work on our Drawing and Painting badge. We worked on requirements #1 and #4.


(23rd) - We had our Investiture and Rededication Ceremony. We made and brought in our favorite recipes for refreshments.

(9th) - During our opening ceremony we invested a new Brownie. Renee then read a thank you letter from Mrs. Welsh for doing the flag raising at the Harvest Festival. We then worked on our Healthy Eating Badge and our Drawing and Painting Badge. We also sponge painted aprons for our Dad's to give as presents at the Father/Daughter Dinner on Friday.


(20th) - Went to Meadowcroft Village.


(23rd) - Meeting was cancelled due to Renee being sick.

(4th) - Marched in our community Christmas Parade.


(14th) - For our start up we made Rudolph Christmas ornaments. Then some of the girls finished working on their drawings. Then we all finger pained a picture. Then finally we got to start drawing our mural. It is really starting to look great. Rebekah and Ashley need to finish their parts of drawing then we can color it. Then one of the brownies brought snack. We made snowmen out of marshmellows and pretzels.


(22nd) - Went Christmas caroling and had a small party.

(11th) - We made a neckerchief. We earned our Cookies Connection Badge. We also continued to work on our mural.


(23rd) - We went bowling.


(25th) - We made ER kits for our start up project. We discussed our homework for the Cookie Connections Badge and the Science Sleuth Badge. And we FINALLY finished our mural. Renee will try to get a ditigal picture of it.

(8th) - We made Valentines for the local rest home. We did our Thinking Day activities and went over our homework.


(29th) - We finished our SWAP's that we didn't finish on our sleepover. Then we hung our paintings and drawings for the art show. We then helped the Brownies make their SWAP's. The parents arrived about 7:30 p.m. and we had our Court of Awards Ceremony. Rebekah and Stephanie helped with the Thinking Day Ceremony.
