ELLWANGER, WOOTEN posted by Denise Wellington Ellwanger on Wednesday, November 14, 2001: Our building contractor has disappeared without finishing the garage he was converting into a house for us. We are not sure what our rights are, how to investigate to see if any of his subcontractors have placed liens on our house, and how we decide whether to pursue litigation or not. The contractor will not return our telephone calls and we have been unable to contact his subcontractors to inquire if they were paid by the contractor.

He then migrated west to Newton Co. Georgia, where he married Martha Wingate in 1838. They had three children while living in Ga.:Jane Simpson,Sarah Simpson, and William Alexander Simpson. After William Alexander was born they moved on to Pickens county,Alabama.

BROWN, JONES, ROBERTS posted by Mary Roberts Haddock on Saturday, December 15, 2001: I am searching for relatives of Mary, Cannie and Frank Jones. Their mother was Adeline Griffin Jones Roberts and their father was Augustine Jones. I have old pictures that I found in my fathers things that would be a real treasure to the descendents of this family. Cannie Jones married E. J. Brown and most of the pictures of her family were made in Covington, Ga. by Perkins Photographers. Adeline Griffin Jones Roberts and her husband Meredith M. Roberts were my great grandparents and are buried in Dalton, Ga. If you are a relative of this family please contact me.
