Welcome to my Studio

I hope you enjoy visiting my studio and seeing some of my creations. What is stipple quilting you ask?? It is a form of free motion quilting in which you have complete freedom in how you quilt. About ten years ago I saw it being done at a quilt shop in California and knew it was the technique I had been looking. I love the texture created by hand-quilting and stippling gives me that look.

I didn't have time to take a class in it. When I got home I tried it and promptly jammed up my machine big time! What I always tell people is that it takes lots of practice but anyone can do it. The trick is learning to move your fabric while controlling the speed of the stitch.

Setting up my machine:

• Drop the feed dogs or use a cover plate
• Put on a darning foot
• Set stitch length and width to zero
