Just Say Noel
The Liamless Oasis Show in Chicago

27 August 1996

Oasis
with supporting acts: The Manic Street Preachers and the Screaming Trees

Rosemont Horizon
Chicago, Illinois

On the opening show on the fall 1996 U.S. tour, Liam Gallagher was still in England shopping for a house. Noel Gallagher took the stage alone, supposedly to scattered boos in the audience.

In some ways, the concert was the same as every other Oasis concert. The band opened with "Hello" and closed to "Champagne Supernova." In his acoustic set, he played "Whatever," "Cast No Shadow," and "Wonderwall."

Still, a Noel electric show offered a chance to hear the elder Gallagher's vocals on "Morning Glory" and "Cigarettes and Alcohol."
