Subject: chicago show =)

hi all! well, it's the morning after the *amazing* chicago show, and i have to say... i was not the slightest bit disappointed with the performance - even without liam. noel did a *wonderful* job... proving (to me at least) that he can rock with the best of 'em. =)

anyhow, i apologize to all those that could care less (if there are any) but i'm gonna tell you some of the stuff i noticed at the show...

first off... i spotted noel & co. off stage and to the right during the manic street preachers' set, and went nuts. hehehe sorry... i just *love* those guys... but as for the manic street preachers themselves, i thought they quite simply kicked ass! definitely a good set! =)

as for the screaming trees... i have one thing to say: =P i just do not enjoy their music with the exception of perhaps one song. and frankly, it didn;t look to me like noel & co. really enjoyed the set, either. i once again spotted the 4 of them off stage and slowly, one by one, they sort of all just left with these sort of bored and disgusted looks on... noel especially. although i *did* nearly have a heart attack when i was watching noel & bonehead through my binoculars (well, there was nothing else to do - the music was shite, and can you really blame me??) and they both kind of gazed off at my section of the audience and waved... i freaked. it was just so cool =)

anyways... on to the actual set (sorry for the length of this, but... this was my first oasis concert, and i'm eager to share =)) as soon as those familiar helicopter sounds began (y'know the ones) the whole crowd went *totally* nuts... i, for one, was screaming so loud, i seriously think i sort of pained the young guy sitting in front of me... (sorry if that was any of you) and as for liam not being there, yes, it was sad, and yes, we all missed him... but i *honestly* feel that noel did a fine job. and yes, perhaps a tiny bit of the hard rocking stage performance of liam, or whatever... but i seriously think that noel more than made up for it with heart-felt singing =) i dunno... maybe i'm just being nuts, but that's what i feel, anyway.

and i apologize in advance if any of you were the folks who threw the shoe and/or the other whatever-that-was up on stage... but... i *have* to say... that sucked. i was tempted to take off my *own* shoe and fling it at whoever had been so rude and ignorant as to throw *their* shoe... but i figured i'd most likely miss, and i didn;t want to disturb the concert goers any more so.

i suppose i'll end this here... because i'm sure most of you are thinking to yourselves 'will this girl just keep going on forever???' and of course, i won't, because however much i'd like to... i assume most of you would rather i didn't.

but before i end it, i gotta say one thing... if any of you were sitting by a girl with brown hair and one of those smallish oasis t's that was screaming her fool head off... that was me. hehehe =)

oh - and one more thing... if anyone out there has a boot of the concert, *PLEASE* contact me... i realised AFTER i was already in that i could have easily smuggled a recorder into the place in my binoculars case, since they didn't even check it... but there you are, it was too late.

and if anyone is interested in anything else (i know someone had been asking about what sort of things they were selling and the like) feel free to mail me and i'll tell ya anything at all that you wanna know... well, about the concert that is! =)
