After he discovers Emily in the trunk of her BMW, her mouth and ankles taped and her wrists handcuffed, he calls his best friend Greg (Harry Connick, Jr.) and asks him what he should do.
Meanwhile, Emily has escaped from the trunk and is attempting to get out of the building.
Unfortunately for her, it's locked up pretty tight, so she has to camp out until Vincent gets back. When he finally does show up, she panicks and proceeds to do some major league butt-kicking, despite the fact that he has no gun and protests over and over again that he doesn't want to hurt her.
Vincent, fed up with her repeated attempts to emasculate him, locks her up in his bathroom. Greg arrives and they discuss what to do with her as she yells out obscenities and kicks in the bathroom cabinet mirror.
Greg suggests driving her "someplace," and Vincent takes his suggestion. Getting Emily into the car is another matter entirely, as he finds that threatening her has no effect.
Vincent finally decides to take her out of the city and dump her somewhere on the side of the road. He's hoping to get rid of her, but Emily's not about to make it that easy.
Vincent senses that this is not his day, possibly not even his weekend. . .
