 December 30, 2004: While
Dieter Bohlen was unable to repeat the enormous sales success he had last
year, four Dieter Bohlen productions ended up in the Top 100 charts listing
the best selling singles of the year in Germany. Yvonne Catterfeld’s “Du hast
mein Herz gebrochen” ended up at number 21 in the German year end charts. The
single is also year end number 24 in Austria and year end and year end number
49 in Switzerland. Alexander’s “Free Like The Wind spends a second year in
the year end Top 100 in Germany (this year: #45, last year: #14), Austria
(this year: #35, last year: #34) and Switzerland (this year: #62, last year:
#30). The other two Dieter Bohlen production listed in Germany’s year end
singles Top 100 are Elli’s “This Is My Life” (#52) and Alexander’s “Behind
The Sun” (#85).

 December 30, 2004:
During the month of December, Thomas Anders made three live appearances
during concerts and festivals. On December 19, Thomas performed as part of a
Christmas show in Koblenz (Germany). During the show Thomas sang the
following Christmas songs: 1) The Christmas Song 2) Jingle Bells 3) Let It
Snow 4) Walking In A Winter Wonderland 5) White Christmas 6) Stille Nacht,
Heilige Nacht (Silent Night). On December 8 and on December 11, Thomas
participated in the third annual “Disco 80” festival in Moscow and St.
Petersburg. The festival was organized by Russian radio station Avtoradio. In
Moscow, Thomas performed “Independent Girl”, “Brother Louie”, and “You’re My
Heart, You’re My Soul”. In St. Petersburg, Thomas performed the same three
songs, as well as the maxi version of “Cheri, Cheri Lady”.

 December 30, 2004:
According to an interview Dieter Bohlen recently gave to German print
magazine Bunte, he is in discussions with German TV station RTL about his
participation in the third season of music talent show “Deutschland sucht den
Superstar”, again as one of the jury members. Asked about the cancellation of
several of his advertising contracts, he indicated that this kind of thing
happens all the time and is only in his case a topic of special media
attention. Dieter Bohlen recently filed a lawsuit against milk products
company Müllermilch, one of his previous advertising partners, for canceling
his advertising contract ahead of its previously agreed upon expiration date.
In the Bunte interview, Dieter Bohlen further indicated that the animated
movie “Dieter Bohlen – The Movie”, which is partially completed, may not be
shown in movie theaters after all. Dieter indicated that this is the
responsibility of the movie production company and out of his control. He did
not indicate reasons for this decision but the cancellation of the movie
launch is likely to be related to Dieter Bohlen’s decreasing popularity among
the German public. This is a result of overexposure to Dieter Bohlen on
German TV during the last two years and a result of the accusations Dieter
made in his second book against his former Modern Talking partner Thomas
Anders.

 December 08, 2004: On December 19, Thomas Anders
will make a live appearance during a Christmas show in Koblenz
(Germany). Thomas will be one of
several artists singing Christmas songs during the show. Thomas will perform
for about 20 to 25 minutes. Proceeds from ticket sales for the show will go
to charity.

December 08, 2004: Due to
the success of German music TV show “Best of Formel Eins”, which features
Thomas Anders as one of the hosts of the show, the show was renewed for a
third season. The second season of the show is currently airing on a weekly
basis on German TV station Kabel 1.

 November 23, 2004: Dieter
Bohlen is the composer and producer of a single for German TV star Patrick
Dewayne that will be released in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on
November 29. The song is called “Gemeinsam” (“Together”). The Maxi-CD will
contain three versions of the songs: a radio version, an orchestral version,
and an instrumental version. Patrick Dewayne is one of the stars of German
daily soap “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” (“Good Times, Bad Times”), the
same show that also features Yvonne Catterfeld for whom Dieter Bohlen wrote
several songs.
Addendum November 25, 2004: Due to unsatisfactory
sales of Patrick Dewayne’s album, BMG decided to cancel the release of the
single “Gemeinsam”. However, the song can be found on Patrick Dewayne’s album
“Close Up”, which was released on November 15.

October 26, 2004: This week,
Thomas Anders’ new single “Just Dream” enters the German singles sales charts
at number 64. The song is the 10th solo single by Thomas Anders to
reach the German Top 100 and the 30th chart single that features
Thomas Anders as a vocalist (includes Modern Talking singles). However,
despite the fact that “Just Dream” is not included on Thomas’ most recent
album “This Time”, this is the lowest chart entry of any of the Thomas Anders
singles released after the second break-up of Modern Talking in 2003.

October 26, 2004:
According to the most recent issue of German magazine Focus, Thomas Anders is
suing Dieter Bohlen and his publishing house Random House for the record sum
of one million euros. So far, the highest penalty in a lawsuit involving
German media was 250,000 euros. In his second book “Hinter den Kulissen“
(„Behind The Curtains“), Dieter Bohlen had claimed last year that Thomas
Anders collaborated with a tour manager who organized Modern Talking concerts
in Russia in order to exaggerate expense reports for cost reimbursement by
the record company by several thousand euros. In addition, Dieter Bohlen also
included several insults against Thomas Anders in his book. Earlier this
year, a German court decided that there is no evidence that Thomas Anders
exaggerated any expense reports and ruled that Dieter Bohlen’s second book
can only be sold in the revised version without the accusations against
Thomas Anders. Now, the court battle is going into a second round. Thomas
Anders is seeking a penalty of one million euros because he feels that his
personal rights were violated by Dieter Bohlen and Random House in order to
increase sales of Dieter Bohlen’s second book. Thomas Anders indicated last
year that any money a court may grant him would go towards charity. The
lawyer representing Random House stated that he feels that Thomas Anders
should not get any money because he benefited from the media attention
surrounding his court battle with Dieter Bohlen.

October 02, 2004: Earlier this year, German lawyer
Markus Roscher filled a lawsuit against Dieter Bohlen claiming that Dieter plagiarized
songs written by other musicians. A German court now decided that there is no
evidence for a breach of laws protecting creative property and copyrights.
The court ruling found that it cannot be shown that Dieter Bohlen
intentionally copied songs by other musicians. Furthermore, the court
determined that any similarities between Dieter Bohlen songs and songs by
other artists are too insignificant to constitute plagiarism in any event.
Mr. Roscher indicated to the German news media that he intends to pursue
further legal action to fight the court ruling.

second season of German music TV show “Best of Formel Eins” will again
feature Thomas Anders as one of the hosts of the show. The show looks back at
the music videos presented on the music show “Formel Eins” during the
Eighties. The second season of the show will have ten regular episodes and
one live finale show. The first episode will air on November 08 on German TV
station Kabel 1.

According to Thomas-Anders.com,
the new Thomas Anders single “Just Dream” will be released on October 18. As
indicated previously, the song will be featured during the 2004/2005 tour of
famous ice show “Holiday On Ice”.

August 31, 2004: As part
of a several concert appearances in Eastern Europe during the last few weeks,
Thomas Anders also performed several songs in Alsóörs (Hungary) on July 31. The performance was part of the MTV
Road Show and was broadcasted on Hungarian TV on August 7. During the show,
Thomas performed the following songs: 1) Independent Girl 2) King Of Love 3)
This Time 4) You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul 5) Independent Girl (Encore).
This exposure for Thomas Anders in Hungary resulted in the re-entry of his
album “This Time” in the Hungarian sales charts. Last week, the album
re-entered the charts at number 69. This week, the album falls to number 90
in the Hungarian charts.

July, 24, 2004: Alexander
enters the German album sales charts at number one this week with his second
album “Here I Am”. The album contains 7 Dieter Bohlen songs as well as 7
non-Dieter Bohlen songs. “Here I Am” is the 9th number one album
for Dieter Bohlen in Germany and his 23rd Top 10 album (based on
albums containing at least 3 Dieter Bohlen productions). “Here I Am” also
enters the charts in Switzerland (#26) and Austria (#29).

July 17, 2004: “Holiday On
Ice”, the world’s most successfull ice show, entered into a partnership with
Thomas Anders. The show combines ice skating, music, costumes, and
entertainment. Starting in October 2004, “Holiday On Ice” will start its
“Dream Tour 2004/2005”. As part of the tour, two shows (“Fantasy” and
“Diamond Dreams”) will be presented in 23 German cities and in several other
countries, including France and the Netherlands. Both shows will feature a
segment that is centered around a song by Thomas Anders – a ballad called
“Just Dream”. In addition to the ballad version of the song, an uptempo
version of the song was created. The uptempo version will be used for the
encore of the shows that will feature up to 50 ice skaters. Thomas Anders
will personally sing “Just Dream” in several of the key shows, including the
premiere in Hamburg (Germany) on October 27, as well as shows in Frankfurt
(Germany), Berlin (Germany), and potentially other cities.

July 17, 2004: Modern
Talking may no longer exist but that does not prevent them from appearing in
various charts. Currently, Modern Talking spend a second month in Poland’s
monthly album charts based on shipments to retailers. The album “Gwiazdy XX
Wieku” (released exclusively in Poland) entered the charts at number 43 last
month and falls to number 75 this month. The album has a tracklist that is
very similar to the tracklist of 1998’s “Back For Good”: 1) You`re My Heart,

July 01, 2004: On July 12, the second album by
Alexander, the winner of the first season of German music talent show
“Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, will be released in Germany, Austria, and
Switzerland. The album will be called “Here I Am”. Even though Alexander
decided earlier this year that he wants to work with other music producers,
the new album by Alexander still contains 7 songs written and produced by
Dieter Bohlen (out of a total of 14 songs). The Dieter Bohlen songs are:
“Free Like The Wind” (track #2), “Maybe” (track #4), “Another Heart Is
Broken” (track #5), “Behind The Sun” (track #9), If I Could Live Forever
(track #10), “Don’t Be Cool” (track #11), and “Why Does It Always Rain On Me”
(track #13).

June 27, 2004: On
Thursday, a final decision was made in the court battle between former Modern
Talking members Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen. In his second book “Hinter
den Kulissen“ („Behind The Curtains“), Dieter Bohlen had claimed last year
that Thomas Anders collaborated with a tour manager who organized Modern
Talking concerts in Russia in order to exaggerate expense reports for cost
reimbursement by the record company by several thousand euros. In addition,
Dieter Bohlen also included several insults against Thomas Anders in his
book. As a result of Thomas Anders and several other celebrities (who had
also been insulted in the book) taking legal action, delivery of the book had
to be stopped temporarily in order to revise the text of the book. However,
Dieter Bohlen and his publishing house Random House forced Thomas Anders into
a court battle, insisting that Thomas had stolen money. Now, a court in
Berlin made the final decision in this lawsuit in favor of Thomas Anders. The
judge found that there is no evidence at all that Thomas Anders exaggerated
any expense reports. Dieter Bohlen and Random House are not allowed to repeat
claims to this regard and Dieter Bohlen’s book can only be sold in the
revised version. The court further decided that in case Dieter Bohlen or
Random House disregard the court order and continue to claim that Thomas
Anders stole money, they face either a penalty of 250,000 euros or up to 6
months in prison.

May 29, 2004: Last week,
Thomas Anders announced that his Berlin and Oberhausen concerts, which were
originally scheduled for June, are postponed until autumn or winter this year.
According to Thomas, the reason for making this decision was that ticket
sales for the concerts in the two German cities (even though “not really
bad”) were not as good as expected. Thomas’ hope is that the release of his
next album (originally planned for early 2005 but now already planned for
some time later this year) will have a positive impact on ticket sales. While
sales of the album “This Time” were considerably lower than sales of any
Modern Talking album, “This Time” sold enough copies in Germany and
internationally to make it a financial success for his small, independent
(BMG distributed) record label. This is the reason why his record label
suggested to Thomas to release his next album earlier than originally
planned. Despite the postponed Berlin and Oberhausen concerts, Thomas Anders
will be the star of a live concert in Germany in June. On June 05, he will
perform a 70 minutes show in Saarlouis as part of the city’s “Emmes”
festival. Thomas Anders plans to perform songs from his solo album “This
Time” as well as some of the greatest Modern Talking hits. The organizers
anticipate that about 50,000 visitors will attend the city festival and see
Thomas Anders’ free live performance.

May 29, 2004: Last week,
the final episode of TV series “Best of Formel Eins” was broadcasted by
German TV station Kabel 1. The show hosted by Thomas Anders and several
co-hosts looks back at the music videos presented on the music show “Formel
Eins” during the Eighties. Last Wednesday’s final show was a live show that
featured performances by Thomas Anders and other artists. The show achieved a
9.5 percent market share among the audience group most important to
advertisers: viewers aged 14-49. Given the success of the show, Kabel 1
decided to air re-runs of the TV series starting in July. In addition, Kabel
1 announced that they signed a contract with Thomas Anders for a second
season of the show, which will start airing in autumn this year.

May 29, 2004: Markus
Roscher, a lawyer from Berlin (Germany) filled a lawsuit against Dieter
Bohlen, claiming that Dieter plagiarized other musicians. The lawyer claims
that the chorus of the song “Für Dich”, which Dieter Bohlen wrote for Yvonne
Catterfeld in 2003, is stolen from the song “What If”, written by American
producer and musician Babyface. In addition, the lawyer also claims that
Dieter Bohlen stole songs from other artists such as Village People, The
Beatles, and Bell Book & Candle. Mister Roscher does not represent any of
the musicians in questions. In addition to being a lawyer, he is also the
host of an anti-Dieter Bohlen website. The fact that many Dieter Bohlen compositions
are inspired by the music of other artists has always been obvious to fans,
even though in most cases the similaries are fairly minor. The court will now
have to decide whether these inspirations represent a breach of laws
protecting creative property and copyrights. Dieter Bohlen’s record company
BMG indicated in statements to German news media that they do not feel that
the lawsuit has any legal merit. Regardless if Dieter Bohlen is found guilty
or innocent of breaching
intellectual property laws, the fact remains that countless musicians
released songs that closely resemble the typical Modern Talking sound created
by Dieter Bohlen.

May 29, 2004: After benefiting
from 4 consecutive Top 10 hits written by Dieter Bohlen, Alexander has
decided that he wants to work with other music producers. The new single by Alexander
(“Sunshine After The Rain”) is the first non-Dieter Bohlen song he will
release. Alexander’s upcoming second album “Here I Am” will features songs
written by Dieter Bohlen as well as songs written and produced by other
composers/producers.

May 15, 2004: A few hours ago, Thomas Anders
hosted the music show “Countdown Eurovision” on German TV station ARD. During
the show, which lead up to the broadcast of the European Song Contest (Grand
Prix De Eurovision), Thomas Anders also performed his new single “Tonight Is
The Night”. During the actual European Song Contest show, which was
broadcasted in many countries around the world, Thomas Anders presented the
results of the German voting. Afterwards, he hosted the after-show entitled
“Grand Prix Party” on German TV and performed another song, “Night To
Remember”. Previously, Thomas Anders was among the members of a jury on
German TV show “TV Total” who selected a candidate for the German
pre-selection for the European Song Contest. Max, the winner of this selection
process went on to win the German pre-selection. Tonight, he participated in
the international contest and finished at number eight out of 24
participating countries with his German number one hit “Can’t Wait Until
Tonight”.

May 15, 2004: According
to German newspaper Bild, the animated Dieter Bohlen movie “Dieter – Der
Film” (“Dieter – The Movie”) will premier in German movie theaters on
September 23. The movie will be loosely based on his first autobiography
“Nichts als die Wahrheit” (“Nothing But The Truth”). The movie will be 85
minutes in length and consists of 200,000 individual animated pictures,
created by an animation team in Taiwan. The production company of the movie
(based in Hamburg, Germany) indicates that the total cost of the movie is
about 6.5 million euro ($7.7 million in U.S. currency). The movie soundtrack
will be produced by Dieter Bohlen and will reportedly contain one new song
sung by Dieter Bohlen himself.

Internet chat, Dieter Bohlen confirmed that he will sing “a couple of tracks”
on the soundtrack for his upcoming animated movie.

May 13, 2004: This week,
Thomas Anders’ new single “Tonight Is The Night” enters the German singles
sales charts at number 60. The song is the 9th solo single by
Thomas Anders to reach the German Top 100 and the 29th chart
single that features Thomas Anders as a vocalist (includes Modern Talking
singles). In the meantime, Thomas Anders’ previous singles “King Of Love” and
“Independent Girl” are still receiving airplay on some European radio
stations. “King Of Love” ranks number 72 (up from 73) in the Cadena 100, the
airplay charts of one of Spain’s most influencial radio networks. In the
airplay charts of Greek radio station Avanti 107.6 “King Of Love” still ranks
number 19 in its 11th chart week. “Independent Girl” still ranks
number 16 in the national Russian airplay charts compiled by Gallup Media and
number five in the “DJ Centrum Top 30” charts broadcasted by Czech radio
station 97.2 Fajn Radio.

April 21, 2004: This week,
Thomas Anders enters the Spanish singles sales charts at number 16 with his
most recent single “King Of Love”. The last single featuring vocals by Thomas
Anders that charted in Spain was Modern Talking’s “Ready For the Victory”,
which peaked at number 11. Meanwhile, another musician who worked with Dieter
Bohlen in the past charts elsewhere. Chris Norman climbs from number 10 to
number 5 in Austria with his album “The Very Best Of”. The album contains
four Dieter Bohlen songs (Midnight Lady, Broken Heroes, Some Hearts Are
Diamonds, No Arms Can Ever Hold You).

April 15, 2004: Thomas Anders
recently returned to Germany from a promotional tour to Russia. On April 2,
Thomas performed in front of 3,500 visitors in a concert appearance in St.
Petersburg and on April 4 he performed in Moscow in front of 5,000 visitors.
During the concerts, he performed a mix of Modern Talking songs (some with
new arrangements) and songs from his solo album “This Time”. This is the
tracklist from the St. Petersburg concert: 1) Tonight Is The Night 2)

the end of this year. The DVD would contain concert and backstage footage,
videos, and interviews.

April 09, 2003: A book
by German music producer Frank Farian and two co-authors will be released in
Germany tomorrow. The book is entitled “Stupid Dieser Bohlen – Die Wahrheit
und nichts als die Wahrheit über den Pop-Hochstapler“ („Stupid This Bohlen –
The Truth and Nothing But The Truth About The Pop Impostor“). The book is essentially a “hate book” against Dieter
Bohlen. Frank Farian insults Dieter Bohlen throughout the book and claims
that Dieter Bohlen does not sing himself (while it appears that Dieter Bohlen
may not have been singing the lead vocals in the chorus of most Blue System
songs, he is clearly singing the verses in all Blue System songs), does not
write his own music/steals the songs of other musicians, has no success
outside of Germany (a statement that ignores the sales success of Modern
Talking and other Bohlen productions in many countries outside of Germany),
etc. Note, Frank Farian is the producer behind Milli Vanilli and Boney M. –
both infamous for “singers” who represented the group but did not actually
sing. Frank Farian’s book is a response to Dieter Bohlen’s book “Hinter den Kulissen“
(„Behind The Curtains“), in which Dieter Bohlen made unfavorable comments
about Frank Farian.

April 02, 2004: This week, Elli - the winner of the second season of German TV talent show “Deutschland
sucht den Superstar”- enters the Top 10 of the German singles sales charts at number 3 with
the Dieter Bohlen production “This Is My Life”. The single is the 33rd Top 10 hit
for a Dieter Bohlen production in Germany. “This Is My Life” also enters the
charts in Austria (#6) and Switzerland (#11). Meanwhile, Elli told German
newspaper “Mitteldeutsche Zeitung“ that she is currently working on selecting
songs for her first album but decided not to work with Dieter Bohlen on the
album.

March 26, 2004: The new
Thomas Anders Maxi-CD “Tonight Is The Night” will be released on April 26 and
will now not only contain three versions of “Tonight Is The Night” and the
previously unreleased bonus track “Never Been Loved Before” but also another
previously unreleased bonus track “The First Cry”. “The First Cry” is a song
written by Thomas Anders for his wife Claudia.

Thomas Anders Maxi-CD “Tonight Is The Night” will contain three different
versions of this song, as well as a previously unreleased song called “Never
Been Loved Before”. The video for the new single was shot on Spanish island
Ibiza two days ago. The release date of the new single is still to be
determined. Meanwhile, Thomas Anders will have two concert appearances in
Russia (in St. Petersburgh and Moscow) in early April.

(#9) and in Switzerland (#7).

March 12, 2004: Dieter Bohlen is the winner of the
2004 Echo Awards in the category “music producer”. “We Have A Dream”, the
song Dieter Bohlen wrote for the ten finalists of the first season of music
talent show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” won the Echo award in the
category “single – national”. Furthermore, Yvonne Catterfeld won the award in
the category “female artist – national” partially as a result of the success
of her Dieter Bohlen produced hit single “Für Dich “. The Echo awards are the official music awards of the German music
industry.

March 04, 2004: “This
Time”, Thomas Anders’ first solo album after the break-up of Modern Talking,
enters this week’s album sales charts in Germany at number 14. Although “This
Time” is Thomas Anders’ 6th solo album released in Germany, it is
his first solo album to chart in Germany. Meanwhile, the current Thomas
Anders single “King Of Love” climbs from number 74 to number 69 in its 4th
chart week in Germany. According to BMG European Services, a BMG internal
distribution organization, the third single from “This Time” will be “Tonight
Is The Night”. The release date is still to be determined.

March 04, 2004: This week,
Alexander enters the Top 10 of the German singles sales charts at number 2
with the Dieter Bohlen production “Behind The Sun”. The single is the 4th Top
10 hit for Alexander and the 32nd Top 10 hit for a Dieter Bohlen production in Germany.

(#18). Meanwhile, Dieter Bohlen and the two finalists of the second season of
TV talent show „Deutschland sucht den Superstar” worked out their
differences. After initially refusing to sing a Dieter Bohlen produced song
during the finale of the show (due to the “poor quality” of the song), the
two finalists ended up recording the Dieter Bohlen song after all after
Dieter Bohlen agreed to change the lyrics of the song. The winner of the
talent show (and a record contract) will be determined on March 13.

March 04, 2004: During
the last three months, Thomas Anders regularly appeared on German TV show “TV
Total” as member of a jury selecting a singer to participate in the German
pre-selection for the European Song Contest (Grand Prix De Eurovision). The concept
of the selection process was similar to the concept of TV talent show
„Deutschland sucht den Superstar“, the show in which Dieter Bohlen appears as
a jury member. Now, Thomas Anders becomes the host of the TV show “Best of
Formel Eins” on German TV station Kabel 1. During seven shows, Thomas Anders
and several co-hosts will present a look back at the music videos presented
on the music show “Formel Eins” during the Eighties.

days ago, Alexander entered the German trend charts at number one with the
Dieter Bohlen produced single “Behind The Sun”. Yesterday, the song still
ranked number two, and today the single is ranked at number three in the
trend charts. The German trend charts are determined based on retail sales in
Germany during the previous day. The Maxi-CD of “Behind The Sun” has the
following track list: 1) Radio Edit 2) Classic Mix 3) Guitar Mix 4) Radio
Instrumental 5) Music Video. Another Dieter Bohlen production will be
released on March 01. The new Yvonne Catterfeld
album „Farben Meiner Welt“ („Colors of My World“) will contain five Dieter
Bohlen songs: “Du hast mein Herz gebrochen” (track #1), „Wenn ich“ (track
#2), “Fliegen ohne Flügel” (track #13), „Für immer und ewig“ (track #14), and
„Farben meiner Welt“ (track #15). Meanwhile, German newspaper Bild reports today
that the two finalists of the second season of TV talent show „Deutschland
sucht den Superstar” are refusing to sing a Dieter Bohlen produced song
during the finale of the show. This may mean that this year’s winner of the
show may not be produced by Dieter Bohlen.

nominees for the 2004 Echo Awards in the category “music producer”. The Echo
awards are the official music awards of
the German music industry. This year’s award ceremony will take place in
Berlin on March 06. Among the nominees for other Echo award categories are
Dieter Bohlen produced artists Alexander (male artist – national, newcomer –
national, single – national) Daniel K. (male artist – national, newcomer -
national), Yvonne Catterfeld (female artist – national, newcomer – national,
newcomer video – national, single – national), and the ten finalists of TV
talent show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (single – national). Nominees
for the Echo Awards are determined based on sales figures.

week, the new Thomas Anders single “King Of Love” enters the German singles
sales charts at number 37. The
single is the 4th solo Top 40 hit for Thomas in Germany and the 8th
solo Hot 100 hit. In total, “King Of Love” is the 28th chart hit
in Germany that features Thomas Anders as a vocalist (either as solo artist
or as part of Modern Talking). Meanwhile, Thomas Anders has announced the
first two concerts for the year 2004. He will perform in Berlin (Germany) on
June 11 and in Oberhausen (Germany) on June 12.

production “Du hast mein Herz gebrochen”. The single is the 12th
number one single and the 31st Top 10 hit for a Dieter Bohlen
production in Germany. “Du hast mein Herz gebrochen”
also enters the charts in Austria (#4) and in Switzerland (#18). On the album side, “Magic
Of Music” by the finalists of the second season of TV talent show
“Deutschland sucht den Superstar” enters the German charts at number two. The
album is the 21st Top 10 album for a Dieter Bohlen production in
Germany. The album also enters the charts in Austria (#32) and in Switzerland
(#41).

new Thomas Anders Maxi-CD “King Of Love” (release date: February 2) will

today’s German trend charts at number two. The trend charts are compiled by Media Control on a daily basis and
are based on nationwide retail sales in Germany during the previous business
day.

January 13, 2004: Despite
the fact that the sale of the first edition of Dieter Bohlen’s second book
“Hinter den Kulissen” (“Behind The Curtains”) was stopped by German courts,
the book was the 11th best selling non-fictional hardcover book
during 2003 in Germany (Source: Buchreport). This year end chart position is
based on retail sales of the first and the second edition of the book (where
parts of the book are edited out). Dieter Bohlen’s first book “Nichts als die
Wahrheit” (“Nothing But The Truth”) was the 31st best selling
non-fictional hardcover book during 2003 in Germany (after being the number
one seller last year) and the 12th best-selling non-fictional
paperback book.

January 08, 2004: Last
Saturday, the annual Thomas Anders Fan Party took place in Koblenz (Germany).
During the party, Thomas Anders announced that the follow-up single to
“Independent Girl” will be called “King of Love” and will be released in
February (according to German retailer Karstadt the single will be released
on February 2). The song will be a fast dance track. A third single is also
already recorded and will most likely be released in May. An album containing
a total of 13 to 15 songs including the three singles will be released in
March. A concert tour through Germany is planned for May. During the
concerts, Thomas Anders will sing some of his new songs as well as Modern
Talking hits. In addition to providing these news to the estimated 750 fans
attending the fan party, Thomas Anders also performed four songs, including
“Independent Girl”, “In Your Eyes”, the unreleased “The First Cry”, and
Modern Talking’s “TV Makes The Superstar”.
