You've got a baby of your own;
Now you'll understand
Why mamma's always hover near
Reaching for your hand.She knows sometimes you'll stumble
But she won't let you fall
She'll always be there ready
When she hears your call.
No matter as the years go by, Or how old you get
They'll never kill a mamma's love--
It's never happened yet!
Tho it's time that I step back,
So you can live your life
I'll be close by if you need me--
You, Your child, Your wife.
But I'll always own a part of you
That no one else can touch--
Your creation to your manhood--
Yea, I'll alway own that much!
Your grown-up years belong to you,
To build with what you may;
I'll give them to you, gladly--
If you'll remember MOTHER'S DAY!
