We, the parents, community, residents and
staff of the Ralph H. Metcalfe Community Academy believe that the school is the most
important institution in the community. Therefore we seek to engineer a sense of
confidence and cooperation with all the interested persons to ensure that the following
goals are achieved:
1. The school's fundamental purpose must be to
provide all children in attendance with a positive, productive, and successful learning
experience.
2. The school must be known as a safe
place, free from internal and external pressures that may negatively affect their learning
experience.
3. Through a combined effort of staff, parents,
residents and government officials, school-based programs as well
as the physical plant,
must be accessible to serve the general needs of the broad-based community.
4. Our educators will provide this philosophy
among students: We can learn to plan; we plan to succeed. We expect excellence! We expect
success! We can conceive it ! We can achieve it! This has become our school motto. |
