But Ernie decided to retire, making Jerry the driver of the M&M's #36 for the rest of 1999. Since M&M's are the official candy of the Millennium, they wanted to celebrate with a new deisgn counting down to the Millennium on the #36, making Jerry the official driver of the Countdown To Millennium M&M's #36.
