You may be wondering:
"Why do those cowboys look so durn sharp in
their Wranglers?" Well, it's usually
because they know how to make
Cowboy Starched Jeans. First of all,
they buy their Wranglers extra long
so that they still look good when
astride a big ole quarter horse. The
extra length stacks over their boots
when they're on the ground. Roper
boots work best for stacking. These
jeans have a whitened crease and
stay looking fresh on the rodeo
circuit. They last longer and repel
dust and dirt when working with livestock.
Here's my own recipe for Cowboy Starched Jeans:
Starched Jeans Recipe
*Get a box of powdered starch at the store
*While jeans are in the washer, mix
about 1/4 cup (or more) starch with
a cup of cold water
*Add starch mixture to a pan of boiling
water and stir until clear
*Pour pan of starch into the last rinse
cycle, but not directly onto jeans
*Iron creases into jeans while still wet
*Hang outside to dry
