Before I moved into this palace... and even before Abby lived here... 2 Gerbils lived with Emma and Artie. Emma was Binky's person and Artie was Annie's person. That picture on the right is a picture of Binky. Annie looked pretty much the same.Binky and Annie were brother and sister. They were both born in July of 1993. Annie died in November of 1995. Binky died in October of 1996. Binky was the longest lived Gerbil in his litter. I guess Emma took really good care of him.
Their favorite food was sunflower seeds and their favorite activity was chewing on cardboard. They also liked running around in their exercise ball.
During the summers, two other Gerbils came to stay with Emma and Artie. They visited from the high school biology lab. Their names were Spunky and Ginger. They were both very nice gerbils too. They were both much bigger than Binky or Annie and were brown and white instead of black. Spunky and Ginger also liked cardboard, sunflower seeds, and their exercise ball.
I know that Emma misses Binky an awful lot. She talks about him all the time. I'm going to tell you a little secret though... Binky isn't really gone. He just moved on. Binky Gerbil is really an immortal super-being in the form of a fuzzy black gerbil. He has to move on every few years so nobody will catch on to him... *Shhh* If anyone asks... I didn't tell you!
