1. Open the Text editor |
|
|
|
 |

2. Use the Delete key on your keyboard to get rid of the highlighted text |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
3. Click the View HTML button |
|
|
|
|
4. Type in the HTML text |
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
After you have copied the text, deselect it by clicking on a blank spot in the text window. |

|
|
 |
|
|
|

Holding down the left mouse button, select all the text you just typed in and press Ctrl C on your keyboard to copy the selected text |

5. click OK and your HTML text will be inserted into your page code. |

You can now paste that text back into the HTML text window
and edit it if the HTML didn't turn out right the first time! Neat, huh? |
|

|
|

|
Just open the HTML text window and paste away |
|
|
|
|
|
Be sure to recopy the text every time you make a change. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
After you click OK, a blank blue text box will appear on the page.
Depending on what you typed in, the box may or may not appear empty. |
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
Even though you can't see it, your HTML text is in this text box. |
|
|
|
|
If the text box is empty: |
|
|
|
1. grab the little red box and drag the text box to a small square |
|
|
|
|
Some people will see a blue box with a dimple in the middle |
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
|
Some people will see just a blue box, no dimple |
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
2. Put the HTML text box up out of the way somewhere, next to something where you can find it again if you want to delete or edit it. (Next to the GeoGuide is good.) |

|
|
|
|
|
