Cyberia: Symbols for the Internet
Symbol Design project
This assignment consisted of creating a set of symbols that represented the human form in a specific region of the world in any time period we chose. The symbols I created represent aspects of humanity that are to be used on the Internet (a virtual region of the world). I attempted to give visual symbols to the concepts of gender, sexual orientation, physical conditions and age levels. These symbols were bound into a booklet which included explanatory text on how the symbols were to be used, explanations of their origins, and URLs for locations where they may be applicable.
