Triple Trouble

A.k.a. "No, we have not been having threesomes"

"My sister was with two men in one night. She could hardly walk after that. Can you imagine? Two dinners!" -Sarah Silverman
Tuesday afternoon I went along to work with Remington, met his boss, which went well. Found out he has to go to Chicago again for a month in the summer, probably after finals or so =( I'm very bummed. I talked on IRC there mostly- Melissa asked what he was doing that night, and he said "taking my lovely ladies out to dinner." Melissa and co. wanted to come along- so that made it six.

Took Jessica to the airport that afternoon- I love going to the airport for some reason, and I was glad to see Remington was one of those who likes to stay with the leaving person till the last minute (me too). He was hilarious going through the detector- he set it off so much, they were letting others go through, and the guard was saying they should strip him to his jockey shorts.

Interesting thought- I was talking about when I went to Hawaii, and he said he'd never been, and I said I get to go when I graduate. He wants to buy a ticket and come along...and I could just picture me being 23 years old and STILL having to ask permission to have my boyfriend along!!!

I think I was wrong about Melissa not liking me, as we were getting along well- I'm borrowing some of her books. We went out to dinner, wandered the town, then Remington and Zoe and I went off to Sacramento- Zoe had a free hotel suite we were taking advantage of.

Before going, we went to my place to get some stuff done, and Zoe went on IRC and mentioned to Sarah we had a group date. She's all "threesome tonite?", and Zoe was um, shocked, to say the least. Talk about timing...okay, so she's not right, but still, I think that weirded Zoe out. She was going on about that for awhile- "privacy, please!"

I rode over with her, and we were discussing stuff about Remington- apparently, he is now pondering ways to get her to move to Davis/Rumsey, claiming he's not serious, though. Huh. I said that convincing my parents would be even harder than that though. He also mentioned to her the possibility if they were still together in five years, that she might not date anyone else. Huh. I dunno if she'd go for that...but she is shocked that he's thinking this far ahead with us. Me too.

Basically, in the hotel we just hung out in the living room or were asleep (I was so dead). After Zoe went off to training, Remington and I went shopping- he was looking for some sort of write-on board thing. He had the country-music station on, and this sad song came on (the boyfriend dies in a plane crash), and I got all bummed. Remington said he wouldn't do that to me, then said that if that did happen he'd want me to find someone else (I thought, "Shit, you want me to find someone else right now."), then said "well, nothing lasts forever." That bummed me out even more...ugh. Guys.

I asked about his getting-Zoe-to-move-here thing, and what he'd do about my parents. "That'd be easy. All we'd have to do is stage a wedding."

Huh. I do wonder about his marriage thing, when that creeps into conversation.

Came home that afternoon and went to see Shakespeare in Love with Sarah, then home and packed. Then Remington came over before my parents came. We both fell asleep for awhile, hugging, really not up to much...he's been saying stuff like "I'm yours" as of late (aww), that I'm warm, that I brought warmth and light into his life (awwwww), mushy stuff. We've arranged to go off to Rumsey together Wednesday night when I return. He said "don't meet anybody better than me while you're gone." Then hastily after that, "or at least, don't leave me for them." Awwwwwwwwww.
