My little odyssey in dance began when i was four; i took ballet lessons in a teensy little house down an even teensier side street. For the recital i was a hula girl. **cringe**
Since then, I have switched schools more times than Elizabeth Taylor has switched husbands...and somehow ended up quitting when i was 13 to take horseback riding lessons. Bad idea. **hangs head shamefully** Very stupid. **hits self in head violently** Because, you see, it's VERY hard to go back, especially since when i left i was a skinny little bony 13 year-old and now i am 20 and decidedly not bony.
I'm currently, however, enjoying my Modern Tech class at VCU...where I also have lots of opportunities to see some great live performances (most recently soloist Mark Haim).
Recently, my friend Jessica took some photos of me making a silly ass of myself in a leotard for her documentary photo assignment...I have been painting a lot of dancers lately, and hope to use these as a reference for a self-portrait (my teacher keeps edging us to do them, dammit!) if any of those aren't TOO horrible I might post them here. :)

This is a pic i found on someone's homepage with the unbeatable title: "It's Tremendously Harder than It Looks." :)
