  8. ***** Oatmeal Baby by Pamela Nekolny

Very well done, it hits to the heart and fear of many women. Diana Keeton

  10. ***** Calling Dr. Stein By Geraldine Cook Davis
I really got a chuckle out of this one. Good humor is hard to write Diana Keeton

  11. **** The Vow By Eric Rodriguez
Nicely done. The story seemed to flow well. Derek Bracer

  12. ***** Liz By Diana Keeton
Wonderful voice, that is not often heard. Forces you to consider the person living behind, what most people tend to scorn and avoid. Donna

  13. ***** The Wedding At The Stock Show Grounds by Raye McDonald
Very good story, Descriptive and to the point! Jack Mann

  14. ***** Upon This Pond By Diana Keeton
What a beautiful poem! It very adequately describes what we all go through when we challenge God's plan and the peace beyond understanding we feel when we ask for it from God. I hope and pray that God will continue to give you His wonderful, immeasurable peace and that He will continue to help you use your wonderful writing gift. I will pray for whatever situation you may be in that caused you to write this beautiful poem. Leisha

  15. **** Silent Invader By Emily Janiak
I liked the way you stated what was going on. It was almost void of emotion and it left the reader to assess for themselves the depth of the emotions. I like the style, but being an emotional person, I prefer flowy, emotional, dramatic poems. The poem was just very good, but it just didn't appeal to my emotional side enough. probably because i do not understand what you went through and I hopefully never will. Keep writing and I hope you remain in good health. Leisha

Webmaster note- I usually don't include the writer's critique of his/her own work. However, I thought Leisha's comments about her own work brought out the intent of her work and thus adds to the overall effect.

  16. XXX Christmas By Leisha Arnts
This is not my best poem. I wouldn't even give it a five. Just another venting of my frustrations of this world. Honestly, though, most of my poetry is inspired by God. And God doesn't make junk so I can't say that this is a bad poem. I hope it speaks to some of you. Even I find myself getting caught up in the Christmas season and this poem was written to bring people back down to reality. Leisha Arnts

  17. **** The Vow By Eric Rodriguez
I enjoyed it; it was fun. But what captured me was the reality of it. That made me wonder if it really happened. Truth IS stranger than fiction sometimes! Glad you didn't make it all as a dream...so many spirit-world stories end as dreams and I find that disappointing. But then, that's just my opinion. PJ

  18. *** Dance Of The Starling By Charilette Rai Sweeney
This is a great poem. It has everything except structure. Good subject, very moving. Each line needs to be broken in half to make it flow smoother. I made two lines out of each one and it made a world of difference. I liked it very much. Jack Mann

  19. ***** "Blind Date" By Jo Ann Mann
I may be married to this crazy lady but this is one funny poem. It gives a new meaning to the word concise. Jack Mann

  20. ***** "Song Of The Whippoorwills" By Charilette Rai Sweeney
Very well done. This made me think of my own childhood when we would lay out in the yard on a blanket, watch the stars and listen to the Whippoorwills cry their lonesome song! Jack Mann

  21. ***** Wind By Callie Nyugen
Good writing, Callie. I look forward to more of your submissions. Raye McDonald

  22. ***** A Woman Worth RememberingBy Roderick Young
Uplifting story--brings back memories. Marjorie Young

  23. *** SDM By Roderick Young
Well written narrative, but it is depressing to be reminded of the mistakes we all made in our teens. Marjorie Young

  24. ***** Blind Date By Jo Ann Mann
the date may not have been a pearl but the poem sure was! I liked the couplets! Fun to read PJ

  25. **** The Wedding At The Stock Show Grounds By Raye McDonald
Raye-Entertaining piece; you offer some great visuals. I just expected the wedding to end up a disaster in some way with the negative imagery, but your point--everything comes out O.K. once they are hitched. Not sure how that plays on my mind, but I see some good material here. Geraldine Cook Davis

  26. **** Eternal Friend By Jennifer Hansen
This poem was well written. It expressed the "love" of two people who are only friends not necessarily lovers. Jennifer L.
