LOUISIANA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL 2000
        Costumes and Garb

"Hear Ye! Hear Ye!" One of the village pikemen addresses the crowd at the King's Stage, where such great acts as The Duelists, Fowl Tales, Phoenix Blaze and Jack Callyingforth enthralled and delighted their audiences all day long.

Lady Elizabeth was undoubtedly one of the most charming -- and thoughtful! -- of the young ladies at LRF. Not only did she remind Ryleh of the cast "portrait" to be taken that evening at the Jousting Arena, but she expressly invited him to join the ranks of professional faire photographers taking pictures there. A rare honor, indeed!

Who was that Masked Lady at LRF? Equisitely garbed in her beautiful Court finery, it appeared she was on her way to a Royal Ball or other courtly revel. Surely, romance and intrigue awaited! Even so, she was kind enough to pause and bow, allowing Ryleh to capture her portrait, here.

On and off during the day, this piper entertained patrons waiting in line at Ye Old Public House at LRF. As Ryleh understood it, he was a friend of the proprietors -- not an official entertainer of the faire -- helping them out with a little music over the weekend. Still, the skirl of bagpipes made a most brave sound, adding muchly to the atmosphere there.

The Faerie Court was well-represented at LRF, with a goodly number of Fey Folk wandering the lanes and byways during the day. This lovely Red Faerie was typical, always smiling and greeting patrons wherever she went!
