in depth look at poem: This poem was written as a poem against abortion. The method I use to make it more effective is to talk straight to the woman who had an abortion and let her know exactly what was done. That she shattered a person's hopes of living.

No Love, No Life

full of deep aching fears that
cause you to lose your ability
to show kindness or love.
these fears caused you to look
at this blessing as a bother,
a bit of tissue.
so you used all you had to
terminate this innocent life

you tried to erase it from
your mind, but you can’t.
because you see the truth
of how the baby wanted to
live, not die.
but the baby’s rights weren’t
on your mind
when you killed it.

all the baby ever was to you,
was a piece of you that you
didn’t want.
but it was God’s creation,
a person like you and me.
the baby’s hope of living
has been shattered forever,
for you-it’s mother
had an ABORTION
