I got a lot done this week, including a lot of work on this site--even though there aren't any entries from this week |
What did I do this week? Well my typical day began at 6am. Actually, 5:40, because my clock is fast. It's fast because I don't like to get up early in the morning. Now, once I'm up, I'm up, so I classify myself as a 'morning person'. That doesn't mean I don't like to sleep in though. So I'm at work at 6:30 or so. Why? Because Azura is in training this week, and the hours are 7-3. So my choices are leave at 7:00, get to work at 8:30 or leave at 6:15 and get to work around 6:30/6:45. Of course, I'm still working my normal hours. [Well, I shaved a half hour off, so I'm leaving at 4:30]. Needless to say I got a lot done at work this week. And not just work-stuff, but also journal stuff, since I normally write first thing in the morning. There's something neat about getting here hours before everyone else, and working in the dark, listening to Messiah on my CD player. I also took our book The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Perfect Wedding and typed in every task we need to do before the wedding into Schedule+. Whew, we have a lot to do! Good thing we're going to the beach again this weekend. So, Azura wastes an hour of her afternoon, and gets me at 4:30, and we go home, exhausted. I actually went to sleep at 9 one day this week. We didn't get a great deal done this week on the wedding, but we did talk about it a bit more. That and we picked out rings. Our wedding rings are 200 dollars, retail, Mom can get them for half, since she works for a jeweler's. Azura picked out a lovely emerald engagement ring [Wait, she asked me, don't I get the ring?], but it was 625 dollars. After I picked my stomach up off the floor, I told her we'd have Mom price it, and deal with it later. Mikki and LadyDawn both led me to believe this wasn't an outrageous price for a ring, so, I'm going to get it. The question now, is when. My aunt visited earlier this week, and gave me the same exact Amway speech Dad gave me. It kind of freaked me out that it was almost the same, word for word. Then again, it was like a new inoculation from disease. We're headed back to the beach tonight, I'll let you know how it goes. Generic Joe's A Typical Male
