The broadcast, entertainment, and multimedia industries are
exploding
and creating new and unique opportunities. The Film & Video
Program at
Drexel University educates artists who are poised to provide
the manpower
and know-how to secure these opportunities and shape the future.
Working filmmakers and writers teach courses that provide hands-on
experience in key components of production. Students start making
digital films in their very first year and continue in this
process through
to senior projects. In addition to production courses in both
video and
16mm film, there's an integration of interdepartmental classes
selected
to expand minds and find the voices of the newest generation
of filmmakers.
Class work is supported by the unique Drexel co-op that provides
professional employment experience while still in school.
Fimmakers have visions that demand to be created. Drexel enables
students
to define those visions, hone their skills and graduate as employable
commodities. In whatever area of production they choose. Only
thirty-two freshman are accepted annually. Smaller classes allow
for invaluable faculty-student interaction and mentoring and
ample access to facilities and equipment.
We encourage you to browse this site and discover more about
the classes, students, faculty and facilties that make up the
Film & Video Program. We're confident you'll like what you
find.
