Man

Hit and kick woman weak is arm and leg

I Lower

I lower my head beneath to the train tracks,
I did, yet the idea entirely disappeared from my mind.
Was it a sign?
A test of strength,
a futures hope,
I tried and tried,
my life was not meant to be short.

Girls

I am a girl,
Sugar and spice, etc.
But I can be mean, when jealous.
So I bite my nails,
All the time.
I am a girl,
Sugar and spice, etc.
Where there is a crowd of people,
I differ,
making friends,
and a peaceful dinner.

Trees

Can be a tree be like a 7,
a lucky number?

Copyright Jennifer Arbour, 2002.

Bubbles

I wish that conversation was as easy as blowing bubbles.
But for me, it is the most difficult and complicated thing.
Why can't I communicate?
Why is it not as easy as blowing bubbles?
I think like a child.

Deeper

The waves have caught me,
by the ankles.
Whispering, "Come in deeper".
No one is around and everything is still watching.
Should I go deeper?
Should I run and hide?
The waves are getting rougher,
and stormy.
I wait and wait,
like sand through an hour glass,
like the sand on the shore.
Don't care if I drown,
for ever more.

Value

The reason for blue,
is the answer for green.
A beautiful turquoise,
as if brought together by fortune,
an ever lasting brightness,
a visual sight,
of value and life.

Time

My mind is an entity within itself.
My mind swings back and forth, like a pendulum.
So time consuming, I am tired.
Will it tell my time?
So I wait for thhe clock to stop.
Can I be happy too?
One room will do.

Your Hands

Your life is in your hands.
What you do with your hands makes you what you are.
A doctor is brilliant at saving lives.
A garbage man works hard and wears gloves to protect him from germs.
A veterinarian loves animals and animals sense it.
A piano player studies the art of music and plays a beautiful song.
A fire fighter is strong and courageous.
A nun prays and goes to church.
You go to school.
Do you wonder what you will be?
It is all in your hands.

Above and Below

The sun above me gets so hot,
That I have to cool off once in awhile.

Umbrella

Open my mind like an Umbrella,
and shelter me too.

Untitled 1

I wash my clothes.
They are second hand actually.
Those thrift stores are great.
Beware one day it may not be.
Nothing last forever.

Tree in My Mind

My mind so vast.
If only I could grow
tree's in it.

A Light in Dark

I was born in the Universe.
A star like any other,
and there in the darkness,
I am my own light.
All the others multiply faster than time.
Why not let space alone?
Love is no crime.

Indiana

Indiana my girl.
A Western tree,
standing tall
for all to see.
Born under a morning star.
A pretty wonder so near yet far.
A tree so high,
a morning star,
Indiana life is what you are.

Birthmarks

My destiny is my spotted skin
that I have had,
since I was young.
Angel fairies left their fingerprints all over me.

Blue Eyes

Peter, eyes of blue,
as broad as the blue sky.

Infinity

If one was to ask what infinity is,
my answer would be,
that infinity is in the making.

With Joy

If love and peace strike us all,
the sun will jump up with joy.

The Brain

The mind is a puzzle
The brain is so technical
like, trying to figure out a 2000 piece puzzle,
that only has one colour and no scene.

Mother Nature

Grass growing on a body
like wild hair
growing into a tree
come on wood,
grow out of there!
Don't you think we are happy?
Don't you think we care?
Come on mother nature
all your children are growing
out there.
