Submissions Policy

Please read all of this page before you submit to avoid your work being rejected! The words "submission/poetry magazine" should be stated in the subject of your email. The email address is used for this magazine, as well as our sister magazines, The Inner Voice:An Inspirational Magazine, and Angels, The Wings of an Angel . Email notification will acknowledge receipt of your submission, but if you do not receive confirmation with-in two weeks, please drop us a note. Sometimes we cannot acknowledge submissions because the email address has not been configured incorrectly by those who use a ISP connection. We are accepting submissions for the fall issue, a publication date has not been set yet. Sorry, but we are unable to pay our contributors. Early submissions are encouraged. You may write a few sentences (no more than 10) about your poem or story that express your feelings about it, or why you wrote it. Please follow the instructions below for submissions.

Poetry:We are looking for uplifting poetry that tells a story, shares an experience, or highlights a spiritual belief. Two poems may be submitted by each author per issue. Poetry submissions will be considered for this magazine as well as our sister magazine, The Inner Voice:An Inspirational Magazine. That magazine accepts submissions for other types of writings. For more information, use the links at the bottom and top of this page to visit, and read it's submissions policy.

Teens You must have the permission of a parent or guardian. If you are a student, please submit your poetry in the following format. In the "subject" area of your email, write "student poetry," or "student story." In the body of the letter, state your age, and write a few sentences (no more than 10) about your poem or story that express your feelings about it, or why you wrote it. You will receive return mail to let you know that your poem or story was received.

Writing Tips: As writers, each of us constantly strives to improve our craft. One of the magazine's goals is to help all of us to grow as writers. If you have a writing tip that will help others, pass it on.

Send your submissions to poetry@enchantedlakes.com. Email submissions are preferred. If you do not have word processing capabilities, you may include it in your email. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 58, Vandalia, OH., 45377-0058. For Postal submissions, send a floppy disk, and please convert your submission to a text file with line breaks, or to Microsoft Word format. A stamped, self-addressed envelope is required to receive a response by Postal mail. (No envelope, No response) Email submissions in Microsoft Word or text file format are appreciated.
