Catwoman And Alfred, Sitting In A Tree . . . - Andrew Hicks
Alfred the Butler falls for Catwoman in disguise. The writing is simplistic, but the plot moves along at a fair pace. You can almost see Adam West and Burt Ward prancing about in their tights. I liked the running gag, as well. [3/5]

The Amazing Fresca - Andrew Hicks
More high camp in this Batman adventure, where a hypnotist is out to rob and kill Gotham's richest men. The jokes are a little stronger than "Catwoman And Alfred", but still not funny enough to make you laugh out loud. The plot is the usual "running around trying to save those who are caught in the trap of the week." [3/5]

The Bat Action Hero - Andrew Hicks
This Batman fanfic is actually a parody of the Arnold Schwartzenegger vehicle "The Last Action Hero", a film that I enjoyed, despite what everyone else thinks. The plot concerns a Batman fan finding himself in an episode of the show, and the dynamic duo foiling the Joker (and an almost absent Penguin) in the real world. What follows is a formulaic romp as our three heroes escape from trap after trap. The Joker's characterization keeps switching from comical buffoon to murderous killer, but who cares? The writing is slickly amateur, and the whole thing is great fun. [3/5]

Aunt Harriet Fainted - Andrew Hicks
Aunt Harriet discovers Batman's secret identity in this sub-par Hicks adventure. All the usual silliness is here, but the whole thing revolves around a running gag from the other Hicks fanfics, and there is little else. [2/5]

Batnet - Andrew Hicks
Dragnet meets Batman in this non-crossover fanfic. The writing has been toned down quite a bit for a drug dealing plot, and bears some similarities to "Police Squad!". Not bad. [2.5/5]

The Joker's Day Off/Turn Your Head And Cough - Andrew Hicks
This Batman fanfic comes with a warning from the author that it "pretty much sucked", but really it is just like all the otherstories in the series: fast, frantic, and full of bad jokes. The Joker carries out a series of crimes based on holidays, and Richard Nixon makes a cameo appearance. Fun, but nothing special. [2/5]

The Penguin's Withdrawal - Andrew Hicks
I didn't like this bat adventure at all. The thin plot (the Penguin robs a bank) was strained, the death trap was unoriginal and the writing was lacking its usual sparkle, right down to a distinct absence of those funtasticly bad jokes. [1/5]

Joker's Fountain Of Youth - Andrew Hicks
This is the worst bat adventure in the archive by a long shot, and seems utterly pointless. Why have all the arch criminals in it if they only utter one line each? What's the point of the fountain of youth? And why is the ending so *bad*? [1/5]
