Those lovely sites:
Show:Sliders
Lobby:Above basic, snazzy logo
Site:
This site is crammed full of information about reading and writing Sliders fan fiction.
This certainly makes a change from the usual "Here are my stories. Aren't they cool?" attitude,
and makes the thing seem more professional than it looks. A definate plus point is a "common
mistakes" sheet, something that should be available on all Fan Fiction sites. The FAQs are
informative, and actually contain answers to "Frequently Asked Questions" rather than tiny
detail about the subject. The air of the FAQs is that the author is trying to increase the
quality, rather than quantity of FanFics. This is a Good Thing.
Fiction:
Amazingly, the site has a synopses page for the contained fiction. It makes good
reading, too, with some good ideas rooted inside the Sliders mythos, as well as original
alternate worlds. The synopses are nicely (almost professionally) written, and point out
spoilers where necessary. There is a lot of fiction here, covering many subjects. Unfortunately
due to the nature of the show, there are a LOT of crossovers. Still, I think that this will
be a good archive.
Access:
A number of the links are to other sites, which means that it takes longer to access
them. With some stories I had to give up trying to download them. This is Not Good. One story
link, oddly, takes you back to the home page.
Reviewed Stories:
Final Verdict:
A nice looking site, though there is only a small amount of so-so fiction. [2/3]
Show:American Gothic
Lobby:Greeted by a sneering Lucas Buck, the site looks good.
Site:
This site is full of stories, and little else, but hey! what else do you want? There are
links to the AG FAQ and online newspaper, and we also get a competition to win the series on
tape (now finished). Most interesting are the links to virtual seasons of the show. It's good
to see that the erotic fanfic is kept on a seperate page, clearly marked as such.
Fiction:
Attack of the Killer MPs! Thankfully, these are all collected into long
text files. There are plenty of nasty sounding crossovers, and more than a few millingfics. The
synopses are short and uninformative. Files are sorted by length (short, shorter, poems).
Access:
I had no problems with the links. The site is easy to navigate around.
Reviewed Stories:
Final Verdict:
The good fiction is hidden out of sight, and the endless number of bad MPs are detrimental to an overall good site. [2/3]
Show:ReBoot
Lobby:Topped with a nasty advert, the lobby looks too crowded, and the center aligning doesn't
work.
Site:
The site is intended to be a library for ReBoot fan fiction, so the man says, before
admitting that it grew around his own fanfic. There are links to a few other sites, and
some ReBoot desktop toys also make an appearance.
Fiction:
There is quite a bit of fanfic here, but by no means a lot. The worst point has to be
the MPs, which come as they are, with not a collection in site. There are some virtual season
stories, few crossovers, no synopses, and the oddly titled ReBoot 3 Ate My Balls.
Access:
The lobby is too cluttered and the MP pages are annoying.

A small amount of bad fiction does not help when the site is cluttered. Get the Jerry The Cow stuff, though. [1/3]
Show:Batman ('60s version)
Lobby:Very functional.
Site:
Links to other Batman sites (including Adam West's), an introduction and fanfic: that's it.
It wears a three star badge with pride . . .
Fiction:
There are around ten or so stories, all written by the maintainer of the archive. They are all written in a highly camp style tinged with a hint of affectionate mockery at the show. The author takes obvious pride in his work, as there are detailed synopses in the index, and story histories on the fanfics themselves.
Access:
Though the stories were unavailable for a while, now they are back in force, with only one broken link.

Show:The Adventures of Sinbad
Lobby:Looks nice. Well laid out, with a great cotton background.
Site:
The parent site isn't there anymore (404) but the fanfiction is. Just stories, and nothing
else.
Fiction:
Not a lot, but enough to tide (excuse the pun) you over. There are a few large MPs,
but most of the stories are on one page. No synopses.
Access:
Not bad. All the stories are there, but there is some bad text formatting, and a 46 part
MP!

Final Verdict:
The site may looke nice, but the stories themselves are badly formatted, apparently due to a poorly sent email. Would *you* be prepared to read a fanfic between incomprehensible numbers? [1/3]
Show:My So-Called Life
Lobby:Looks great, has loads of stuff going on, yet fails to be crowded. Nice colour sceme, too.
Site:
This site is great. Though it is based around fan fiction, there are plenty of extras.
A schedule for when the show is on around the world, a FAQ, info about the authors, awards, the
lot. Pages are well presented, and thanks to a side bar, it's almost impossible to get lost. The
only down points are the small "How To" section, and the occasional bad English, but that's only
to be expected in the InterWeb.
Fiction:
For a show that lasted 19 episodes, the amount of fanfic here is beyond impressive.
It is arranged neatly, and has some novel entries (The So-Called Christmas '97, being the best).
There are no MPs, and alhough there is the obligatory X-Files crossover, the Hellblazer crossover
is so startlingly original it doesn't matter.

Lobby:Revolves around a smart looking image map. Super.
Site:
This one is big. It's not just a fanfic site, but a hub for all Buffy Fandom. There are
writing aids, show transcripts, a forum and it all looks great.
Fiction:
There are masses of stories, some ongoing fanfics and poetry. Beware: There are some huge
MPs lurking! There are numerous, inventive crossovers (eg The Tick). The site gets bonus
marks for its icon system, where you can find out which stories aren't yet completed.

There is a vast selection of fiction, and each type of story (humour, romantic, etc) is labelled and given a grade as to the recommended audience's age.

Lobby:Nice looking, with a set of ‘looks like NES sprites’ graphics.

plenty of information, pictures and merchandise.
In comparison with the rest of the site, there is very little fan. fiction available here.

Lesser Known Gods - Richard Hetley
Black Mystery Month - Ethan
God Alone 2: Not Quite Lost In New York - Evan
Looky, Looky - Suzy (or quite possibly, Robin/Rhapsody)
Why is this site reviewed here? Well, all bribes aside, this may be an original fiction
site, but not only do the authors class their work as fan fiction, it *is* fan fiction -
albeit of the most parodic kind - of all those eighties toy franchises with lots of
characters that are also available as toys. A nice site, but only a pitiful amount of fan
fiction. It’s a good job that the whole site is a fan fiction site, isn’t it? Destroy! Trivia
- my first review of this site mysteriously went missing before upload - could this
have been the work of a lesser known devil? [1/3]
The Star Wars Fan Fiction Library Site
http://www.fanfix.com/
Lobby:Your menu for the site. Well laid out.
One of those ‘Fan Fiction for real’ sites. A one stop shop for Obi Wan wannabes.
They call it a library, but it’s probably got more words in it than your local , and is
many times the size of your mobile. Old Star Wars, New Star Wars, popular authors,
MSTings - it’s all here. But why-oh-why are almost all the crossovers crossed with
‘Star Trek’? Use some imagination, people! If you want to destroy a death star, get
Galactus or Unicron in to do it, not the Enterprise again!
Most stories are available in text and zipped formats. A few are in html, and are
located off site.
Quantum Leap: The GFFA Experience - Bria Tharen
Dino Wars - Brandon Caudle
A *lot* more Star Wars than even the most devoted fan could wrap their eyes around.
Hey, maybe even Georgie’s new trilogy has been preconceived here, who knows? A
great site. [3/3]
Chandler & Monica
http://www.acusd.edu/~dannys/chanmon.html
Lobby:Cast pictures and links
The official website for the Internet’s first textcom. Fan fiction, a ton of C&M
information and the FAQ, sorry, FUQ (don’t try to pronounce it, kids).
Mostly C&M ‘episoides’, but there is also the legendary Friends episoide ‘The Last
One’
One click, but the severe problem with ‘The Last One Part 1’ *has* to be cleared up.
The Last One Part 1 - Dan Silverstein
The Last One Part 2 - Dan Silverstein

Chandler & Monica: Business & Pleasure - Dan Silverstein
Chandler & Monica: Patient & Waiting - Dan Silverstein
Chandler & Monica: Fish & Chips - Danny Silverstein
Chandler & Monica: Before & After Part 1 - Danny Silverstein
Final Verdict: This is the work of my kind of guy. Archivist and creator Dan
Silverstein loves fan fiction, loves Friends, and loves what he’s written. And why
shouldn’t he? Seriously, contained within are kind of proud nuances and remarks that
let you into the make believe show, from the ‘laugh-out-loud’ test to the ‘Something
& Something’ title, you know that a lot of time and effort has gone into this site.
Doesn’t make [3/3] ‘cause there’s not enough fiction here, but makes [2/3] because of
the wonderful feel to the site. Visit and enjoy. Just don’t diss C&M, okay? [2/3]
The ER Fan Fiction Archive
http://www.jsentertainment.com/gilbert/terffa/
Lobby:Cast photo and a horrible surgical green/courier type font combination. Ugh!
A nice blend of FAQs, surveys, awards and author profiles
Oh no! The stories are divided up into ‘relationship’ categories! To make matters worse, let’s look at the ‘crossovers’ section: hmm, half of them are X-Files crossovers. Get some inspiration, ER fans!
Image map or hyperlink - just click to get into the required section and click to access the chosen story. Simple.
As you may have gathered, relationships stories are not my *thing* Actually, as much as I like ER, I’d rather see a St Elsewhere fan fiction archive (now *that* show rocks!) Still, there are quite a few stories here, and ER fans should visit at once! [2/3]
