Misery

He stares,
looking but not seeing,
his heart torn,
shattered beyond pain,
caused by cursed fate,
for he fell in love with her,
and she not with him.

He walked,
running from that feeling inside,
pretending its alright,
everything is fine,
and then he realises,
he can't flee from it,
can't hide from his misery.

He loved,
with all his heart and soul,
giving all of himself,
fully aware that she,
would mark it,
'return to sender',
and give it back unopened.

Dance of the End

We danced to the music of our hearts.
We danced to different music,
and each time we danced I saw more
and more just how different that music was.
I tried to reach your rhythm and lost mine instead.

I watched the moon and stars
and saw their beauty.
But you were never there to share the beauty with.
The moonlight was so bright it cast my shadow.
The stars so abundant in the clear air.

What I saw, you never wanted to see,
what I heard you never wanted to hear.
The music grew discordant
and the moon and stars grew cold.

My heart turned to stone.

Angels All Fire

This is the hour when mysteries emerge
Strangeness so hard to reflect
A moment so moving goes straight to the heart
Condition that's never been met
Attraction that's held like a wake deep inside
Something I'll never forget
Pattern is set, the reaction will start
Complete, but rejected too soon
Looking ahead in the grip of each tear
Impulse that blinds every move
Shadow that stood by the side of the road
Always reminds me of you
How can I find the right way
To control all the conflicts inside
And the problems beside
As the questions aren't right
And the answers don't fit
Into my way of believing.

When is it safe?

when is it safe to give?

you and i are standing facing each other
our right hands are cupped,

cradling a delicate glass sphere
between us.

if one of us pulls too much and the other gives too much,
balance is lost.

if both pull too much,
it is shattered.

if both give too much,
it falls to the ground.

when is it safe to need?

Some days I travel lonely roads
Searching for ....I know not what,
Picking up and tossing stones
At the nothingness in the air......

This soul of fire ignites the ice
And freezes when I stand,
The Isle of Fear in seas despair
So lonely is this land......

Alone by actions in my head
A prisoner self--made,
My fettered heart beats out distress
So swelled by love forbade......

Oh only to have known once more
The fullness of your touch,
To escape the lonely sentence passed--
The banishment of soul and heart,
And return to lands of love so vast
Would pleasure me so much......

Remember

My heart goes through your hand
As if it were grains of sand
Just get your fingers to close
Hold onto my heart before it goes
How can I make you understand
Surely my heartache shows

I've been there for you
You say you will be too
Then I need you, you hide
Crawling somewhere inside
I feel like such a fool
After everything I've tried
Remember the words we said
Remember dreams we shared

Let me into your heart
Let me have some part
Don't let it be ended
Before its given a start
Remember I love you

Remember you love me too
Nothing else will matter
As long as we remember
To each other be true
Remember forever

For The One I Love
-By Josh Wood at SoHo/Exhibit/4413

Ah, Yes, Spring,
When a young mans fancy turns to love.
Before now,
I never understood the phrase above.

Other girls
The school 'round
Already were
By another found.

All around me
I see happy couples, laughing, careless
While I watch
Pretending I could care less.

But I feel a need
For that happiness so true
And I think
That the cure is you.

So, near this day
Of Saint Valentine
I ask you this;
Will you be mine?

For You
-By Lee at SoHo/Exhibit/9095

All the heavens form the crown
That sparkles on your brow;
And the song of birds, of waves,
Of winds and falling rain,
Everything that sings––sings,
Sings all of you.
Even the glowering thunder
Rumbles with your name,
And lions purr your praise.

The sun––why would he burn
Could he never touch your face
In the morning when you rise?
The earth––how could she bear,
Unless you, her friend, were there
By whom she loves to be embraced?
And the air––why would it stay––
Why not fade and fly away––
Unless you took it deep within you,
And drenched it with your taste?

For you the white stars burn––
In galaxies spin and shine––
For you the damp root twists,
And bright blooms enflame the vine;
For you all rivers run,
And clouds, swift deer, and time;
For you the earth was made;
For you the heavens I would climb.

The sky unfolds so blue,
Yet she deepens with your gaze;
And trees race for the sun,
Yet they race faster with your praise.

The hawk floats through the air––
All the earth beneath his wing––
Yet there's no limit to his power
If he only hears you sing.

All the universe is for you:
Your presence makes it whole;
All creation worships you:
For your presence will console
Its weeping, shaking heart,
Grown tired and sad and old.
A warmth abides in you
That drives away the cold.

And so this is my secret,
Which the blind may feel I've told awry:
Through you all I see breathes;
Through you I strain and hope and strive;
Through you my secret self and all my world
Come miraculously alive––
For, dearest, without you,
My universe would die.
