The Other Side

I don’t know where I am, but it doesn’t feel quite right
I’m looking down at me, and you’re sitting by my side
That’s not the way, I remember spending last night
And why is everybody, dressed in gowns of white
I try to talk to you, but my words they seem to hide
As if I’m looking through, from the other side

I look at the people, as they walk on by
They try not to notice, you try not to cry
You look out the window, and up into the sky
You ask of god, could he please tell you why
If I could, I’d tell you I’m alright
But I can’t find a phone, here on the other side

I can hear you when you talk, hear you when you pray
I’m trying to come, but it seems I have to stay
Stay right here, in this strange world of grey
I seem so close to you, yet I’m so far away
It’s hard to explain, but I think I’m on a ride
Somewhere between you, you and the other side

I think I have to go, they’re showing me a light
I look down at the bed, I guess I lost my fight
Please don’t be sad, I know I’ll be alright
Because its God up ahead, who’s shining me the light
Leading the way, to the other side
Leading the way, to the other side

As I Looked On

I looked behind me,
and I saw yesterday.
Then I looked in front of me,
and saw a new day.

I looked to my sides,
but only found tears.
When I saw the tides,
in the sea of my fears.

Then I looked up,
and I saw the Lord.
He guided me to light,
And I became re-born.
