Lugod Meeting

Computer Crap I Don't Understand...

"When I'm around hard-core computer geeks I wanna say, "Come outside, the graphics are great!" -Matt Weinhold
Well, I may be getting an advantage in my fight to stay in Davis this summer- I do need summer school, at least first quarter, even besides my other desires to stay in Davis (no one'll be home in Liverbore, don't wanna go home, Remington and Sarah will be here). I said to Mom, "If I get a job here, can I stay?" She said she'd fight it out with Dad...we'll see.

Sarah got called up/harassed by Hardeep's mom yesterday- all this once you love someone you have to love them forever (it's a cultural thing), she too goes on about how they love her and they'll get back together in a few years so why divorce, we'll give you free furniture, I'm going to tell him to not give you a divorce...oh goodie. As you can imagine, she's a bit flipped.

Well, went to another Lugod meeting with Remington last night. Besides their going on about the Constitution and some Linux World thing next Tuesday ("Do you wanna go?" "Sure." "It's Tuesday." "Okay." "All day Tuesday." "Gee, thanks for mentioning that.") the group was all excited to learn that a Microsoft presentation is going on in the MU on Friday. Therefore they want to go hang around outside and hand out Linux stuff. Remington is going to go to it, I figure I'll just go hang around him.

Marianne had gotten some film developed, it had pictures of the second meeting and some from Remington's party...and there were a few with him and Zoe. And yes, I did feel kinda bothered by seeing those. Made me wish I hadn't ducked the camera so much so I'd be in one too...even when she's not around, she is around, you know?

After the meeting we went out for dessert with Bill, Melissa, Marianne, and some other guy I don't know, then went out looking for Jupiter and Venus, but it had waaaay clouded over by that time. No computer fixing, as it was way too late to mess with things, IMO.
