The music you should be hearing (if you have a sound card) is Flower of Scotland written by the late Roy Williamson of The Corries.
Oh Flower of Scotland, When will we see your like again That fought an died for Your wee bit hill and glen And stood against him, Proud Edward's army And sent him homeward To think again
How can I begin to explain my feelings about Scotland
The most interesting couple on our vacation turned out to be a couple in their late 60's who live in Scotland, Peter and Morag. Peter is English and a world traveler and adventurer. He has rafted the Zambezi river, crossed the Kalahari desert, and climbed to the Base Camp of Mount Everest (where he got altitude sickness and had to be carried down by Sherpas and placed in one of those experimental bags developed for people who have the "bends"). Peter was without a doubt the most fascinating person I have ever met in my life! His wife, Morag, kept the homefires burning while he was out adventuring, but also leads her own very busy life, serving as President or Chairperson of many different Scottish Dancing and Singing Societies. She is a proud Scot and her love and enthusiasm for her country must have been contagious because I have developed a magnificant obsession for all things Scottish! We plan to visit Scotland in August to see them as well as tour the country.

The photo above of Eilean Donan Castle, located near the Kyle of Lochalsh, will give you a taste of the beautiful sights that await us in Scotland. Directions for making a neat Java Applet like this (called Lake) is generously provided by webmoments.com. Click on the icon below to visit this helpful site. After our stay in Scotland, we will take the train to London (where we spent our honeymoon in 1972), and continue on to Wales where we will see more friends from the cruise, John and Rosemarie. They live in Cardiff, so we will visit Cardiff Castle while there, as well as tour other parts of Wales! Be sure to check out the Scottish sites on my favorite links list--they will lead you to lots of information on anything concerning Scotland, its people, culture, etc. Please visit my new page, Scotland the Brave which will tell about all the places we plan to visit this August! Check out the weather conditions in Stornoway, located on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. Make Your Way To Stornoway is just one of my many favorite Scottish songs.

Also, why not send a postcard from Scotland to someone you know from my new Postcard Store. (Musical postcards available too!)
