Manic the Hedgehog Introduced in the new cartoon, Sonic Underground, Manic is Sonic's and Sonia's brother. Manic lacks Sonic's super speed, but is a very good drummer. Being a drummer, his brain can sometimes be too busy listening to his own unique beat to focus on what's happening arond him. Manic has a magic medaillon in the shape of a drum, which he carries around on his neck, which transforms into a real drum set upon his request. Manic and his other two siblings make up the band Sonic Undergroound. He is in search of his mother, along with Sonic, and Sonia. He is destined to rule Mobius in peace, as a part of the "Council of Four", which consists of himself, his mother, Sonic, and Sonia.
