This Hall is dedicated to my favourite Heavy Metal band Manowar.
I first heard of the band eight years ago, when I met a guy who introduced me to the band.
It was in the summer, on my summer vacation with my parents, and as I think back on that day, it seems to me that the air was somehow enchanted. It was with this feeling that I suddenly heard the sound that would change my perception of the world as a mean and unfriendly place. It was only a couple of months ago that I had started to listen to Heavy Metal, and now I heard a great sound coming from the Gym of the holiday resort where we were staying. I felt compelled to walk on and find the place of these sounds. As I entered I could feel the ground shake, and the reason was Manowar, and THEY WERE THE METAL KINGS!!

After that, my new friend played all that he had with Manowar for me, and we would listen to the songs, talk about the lyrics and slowly I started to feel stronger within myself. It was as if the sound and the songs grew within me!

Since then I have aquired all of the magic circles, and whenever I feel the need for strength and believing in myself, I know that I can always trust Manowar to give that to me. Furthermore I know that I am not alone in feeling this way, since I have read similar descriptions on other peoples homepages. Manowar simply gives us the strength to carry on!

This record was set, in Hannover's "Music Halle" in Germany, during the "Agony and Ecstasy" tour in 1994. On march 8. the four Metal Kings, made the attempt to take back the record from its previous holders, a no longer existing band called "Immaculate Mary" (or something like that). They did this by playing "Black wind fire and steel " at a level, registering the band playing all together, at 129 decibel! Besides this, the bassist, Joey Demaio, set another record, as the worlds loudest playing individual, by playing at a rate of 130,7 decibel! For comparison a Boeing 747 registers 140 decibel at take-off.

But besides playing loud, the band plays the best fxxxing metal that I have ever heard!
The lyrics are also immensely cool, and display's a universe seen nowhere else. My personal favorites include "Kings of Metal", which's lyrics mainly concern the English/Scottish Highland wars. Another album with cool lyrics is "The Triumph of Steel", where many of the songs retell the story about Achilles and the greeks seige of Troy, from the "Illiad" by Homér. Very cool!

So get your ass out of your chair, your head out of your PC...

I personally recommend it, to anyone with a taste for REAL Heavy Metal.

If you can't find the albums there, then try buying it online. I personally recommend it, it is definetely worth the few money it costs.
At this spot I used to have a link to a page where you could download some mp3's with the Kings. Unfortunately the strain on mp3 sites recently, and especially in my home country, has forced me to take that page down, and I don't think it will come up in the nearest future.
