"Wanna go back in?" I asked after a while.
He shrugged. "Yeah."
"So, what does this mean?" I asked, not getting up.
"What?"
"This. Us." I simplified, my nagging thoughts breaking in. I shoved them away and focused on the blonde boy in front of me.
"Um. Dunno." he told me, his face going slightly red.
I grinned and pulled a small silver necklace from under my shirt. "I suppose this will mean more than just a friend relationship."
Taylor's eyes widened. He pulled the small pendant, yanking the short chain. "Wow! You've still got it."
"Well, duh!" I rolled my eyes. "It's alot to me."
He pulled it closer to look, and I nearly fell into his lap.
"Did I mention I changed the longer chain to a shorter one?" I croaked, looking up at him.
He ignored me. "I haven't seen you for a while." he told the necklace.
"Are you done?" I asked, bracing myself from falling over. As is, I was leaning almost entirely over him.
"Yeah." he murmered.
"Then leggo!" I cried, my neck getting sore.
"Nah..." he said softly and gazed down at me.
I freaked. I reached up, yanked my necklace from his grip, and tugged. I fell over backwards, and he pulled my feet, helping me get up.
"I guess this means I'll have to get you a Barbie necklace or somthing." I muttered, combing my hair back.
"What?" he asked incredulously, arms on his knees.
"Never mind. I was wrong. You don't have a sense of humor."
"Hey!" Obviously he disagreed, and reached out to grab me.
I scrambled back, hastily got to my feet as was off like a shot. I ran through the hotel lobby, and thank God, an elevator was open. I raced for it and slipped between the closing doors.
"Nah nah!" I teased Taylor as the doors whooshed closed.
Taylor cursed, and looked around. He saw another elevator, and ran for that.
I pressed floor 12, but then changed it to floor 5. Taylor would probably think I'd head for the room. Which was why I wasn't.
On the 5th floor, I cautiously stepped out, and looked around. All clear. I left the safety of the elevator shaft, and tip toed to the stairwell.
"Down." I mumbled, and jogged down the steps. Cat and Mouse had begun.
I was fine on floor 4. No Taylor.
On floor 3, I stuck my head out into the hallway, and I jumped. "Shit!"
I saw a blonde haired boy run towards me, and I fled down the stairs.
"I'm coming to get you, Kris! MWAH HA HA!" Taylor cackled, and I ran harder.
I could tell he was getting closer by looking up as the stairs winded around. I ran harder, and finally broke out into the open lobby.
I ran to the elevators, thanking the God of Lifts. It was open once again, and I ducked inside, safe from him again.
Taylor ran up to the elevator, but it was too late. "Dammit!" he yelled, almost kicking the doors. He turned at an angry cry and saw a red faced employee advance.
"Shit!" he cursed and ran for another elevator. He made it just in time.
I pressed floor 8 and got out to change elevators. I figured Taylor would take an elevator back up to our room, tired of this. Imagine my surprise when the elevator I wanted to catch had Taylor on it.
I prepared to flee, but he grabbed me, and pulled me into the elevator.
"He's after me!" he gasped.
"Whom?" I asked.
"An employee. I think we pissed him off."
I shrugged and pressed 'Ground Floor'.
"What are you doing?!" he cried.
"Going down." I said simply.
"But I'm wanted down there!"
"Aren't we all." I rolled my eyes.
Taylor dived for the floor panel, and ran his fingers along the buttons above 8. I yelled, and pressed the ones below.
"Down, dammit!"
"Up!"
The elevator went down. I cackled with glee. "Neener! I win!"
Taylor slumped against the wall like he was being led to his execution.
When the elevator pinged cheerfully, I stepped out and stopped. I turned to find Taylor hiding behind the small excess.
"C'mon!" I said, and pulled him out. No one was around, and I rushed outside, pulling him with me.
