CHAPTER FIFTY

Pain. Red pain. Through my whole body. I could feel a beating pulse through my whole body.

I tried to get up, but stopped as the pain intesified. Where was I?

It came back suddenly, and my eyes pulled open. All I could see was the red seat in front of me.

Red? Wasn't the seats tan colored?

I moved my left arm and all I could do was gasped. There was a sharp sensation stabbing up and down my body.

I felt around her jaw and then gently pulled her mouth open so she could breathe.

"Kr...?" she said softly, eyelids fluttering.

"Don't move-" I warned her, but she tried to sit up.

Her face crumpled and she fell back, fainting away.

I put my hand into hers, and rested my head back against my pillow. I thought about giving it to Jamie, but I didn't want to move her.

I thought I heard a faint whispering.

"It's destiny.

We're forever tied,
and you know it,
So just trust me this once,
and leave our fate with
Destiny."

I shifted my legs, and then the black came, but not before I heard the shrill wail of a siren above the whispering....
