"You boys are in so deep. Especially you Taylor. What were you thinking driving without a licensed driver? Isaac was home, why didn't you just take him with you?" Diana and Walker glared at the two boys. Isaac sat in the corner of the kitchen listening to the lecture, a smug smirk on his face.

"Mom, I'm really sorry... I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. I get my license in like 4 months anyways. What's the big deal if I go out driving once without someone?" Taylor asked.

"Watch it," Diana said in a warning tone.

Taylor nodded meekly and looked at the floor.

"Ok, Taylor. You're grounded for a month-"

"A month... I didn't do anything that bad."

Diana glared at him and he shut up. "I can't believe you took Aura in the car with you. What if something happened?"

Zac spoke up for the first time. "Mom, we saw her and were gonna drive her home. She had nothing to do with this. Can you call her mom and tell her that? Her mom is gonna ground her forever because she was already grounded for the week." Zac looked at her pleadingly.

Diana sighed and nodded. She picked up the telephone and dialed.

"Aura, you're grounded forever," my mom said.

"Mom, I didn't do anything. I really was out running like I told you. Then Zac and Taylor drove by and said that they were gonna drive me home because they didn't want me out that late by myself."

My mom looked at me skeptically.

"Really, I'm telling the truth. you have to believe me," I begged.

"I don't know Aur-" The ringing phone cut her off. "Hello?" She talked for a bit then hung up the phone with a satisfied look on her face. "That was Diana. Zac made her call here to say that none of this was your fault. They saw you running and wanted to make sure you got home safely. Zac didn't want you to get grounded when you didn't do anything."

I smiled and nodded. "So... am I grounded?"

"I guess not. But you've got to do all the dishes from today."

"Alright, fair enough," I muttered. I didn't want her to get mad and ground me. "Can I go to the studio? I want to go and practice for a bit before ballet starts again."

My mom nodded. "I'll give you a ride," she said.

"No, it's alright. I want to be stretched out before I start," I explained. She nodded.

I ran upstairs to get my bag of ballet stuff and gave my mom a kiss on the cheek before heading out the door. I began running and didn't stop until I got to the studio, which was twenty-five blocks from my house. I stopped to catch my breath outside the studio and pushed through the doors. I changed into a pair of leggings and a t-shirt and pulled on my slippers. I headed over to the barre and began doing plie's and other warmups to get my legs warmed up. I began doing a series of pirouette's across the room. Then I did toure jette's.

After I had finished my warmups, I got right into the routine leaping and spinning across the large room.

Zac stared at the ceiling of his bedroom. "This sucks Tay. It's all your fault."

"My fault? I wasn't the one that needed a ride to Jarred's."

"Yeah, but... nevermind." Zac knew that he couldn't win this battle and snapped his mouth shut. "What am I going to do for a week?" he moaned.

"Yeah? At least you're not grounded for a month," Taylor retorted.

"I wasn't the one driving," Zac shot back.

Isaac walked into the room. "Hey losers!"

"Shut up Ike," Zac grumbled. "This is all your fault. If you hadn't decided to become all self-righteous we wouldn't be here right now."

"So, a week without seeing Aura. How will you survive Zac?" Taylor asked.

"Shut up Tay," he muttered.

"What's going on with you and Aura?" Isaac inquired.

"Nothing," Zac answered.

"I wouldn't call going out with her nothing," Taylor taunted. "What if she found out you said that?"

You're going out with her? So you finally figured out that the funny feeling in your stomach every time you saw her wasn't from what you ate?" Isaac mocked.

"Shut up Ike. Why does everyone have to bother me?" Zac groaned.

"Because, it's so easy."

Taylor and Isaac laughed at their cynicism as they spoke at the exact same time.

I walked back over to the barre and looked up at the large clock in the studio. I had been practising for over three hours. I began doing my cool-down exercises. I felt a little light headed and grabbed onto the barre for support. I could feel my knees buckle beneath me and the room began spinning before everything went black.
