Rastaman Marley was a modern day prophet. Unfortunately, I was not into Reggae music while Bob was still alive, but now I praise "JAH" that this incredibly talented man existed. Bob Marley and the Wailers opened the world's eyes to reggae music and made it what is today. Prior to his untimely death in 1981, Bob wrote some of the most inspiring lyrics I have ever heard. Honors must also be given to band members Peter Mackintosh (better known as Peter Tosh whom unfourtunatly, was also met with an early demise), Bunny Livingston, and of course, members of Bob's family including his wife Rita, his inspiring mother Cedella Booker, his many talented children Ziggy, Steve, Julian, Cedella, etc....(I believe all his children are talented-he had 11 of them!!!). Thanks to all reggae musicians for this very "good feeling" music...and thanks to Bob for believing in unity so that we could all enjoy it together.
