• It's SO-O funny - here is the third! release in a trance tribute to Depeche Mode - Trancemode Express 3.01. Official US release date: March 23, 1999.

• "The Videos 86>98" on DVD is scheduled by Warner/Reprise for release in the near future. The Depeche Mode videos "The World We Live In & Live In Hamburg", "Strange", "101", "Strange Two" and "Devotional" are reissued by Mute Film. These videos are the same as the originals and are available from Mute on VHS PAL only.

• Mute Records are planning to continue the Singles Box Sets release, which would include the singles from 87-93 Era albums.

* Unconfirmed * details: Each box (catalog numbers: DMBX 4, 5 and 6) will contain four CD singles from each album, including tracks that only appeared on other formats of the single. Each single will contain a booklet with the artwork and credits from all the previous releases, and will include an exclusive CD-ROM disc, containing the four promo videos to the songs that appear in each box set.

NOTE! Exact track listings and mix details are not confirmed yet, and any guesses would be pure speculation.

The Box Sets are tentatively scheduled to be released in September 1999.

• Feelee Records (Russia) has released (December 13th) FIRST EVER Depeche Mode tribute - "Dépêche for the Depeche Mode". Made as double-CD package, album includes 30 tracks perfomed by famous russian alternative artists/groups. Tracklisting:

• Depeche Mode performed at the "KROQ Almost Acoustic X-Mas" in Los Angeles on December 12th. Other bands headlining the 2-day event, which was held at The Shrine Auditorium are: Garbage, The Cardigans, Barenaked Ladies, and Hole. DM played a slimmed down set to that of their current tour show, performing 11 tracks. Setlist:

• Depeche Mode conducted a Internet Video Chat from backstage in Chicago on Tuesday, November 24th - {7:30 EST). Rollingstone.com sponsored the "live-on camera" chat, in which the band answered questions from their online fans.
• Depeche Mode performed on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on November 2nd. The band played a shortened version of "In Your Room" (Zephyr Mix).
• A new remixed version of "Only When I Lose Myself" has been released by Reprise Records. New track comes in two versions: the Josh Abraham Remix and the Josh Abraham Remix Edit. It's available only as a promo, and will not be commercially released.
• MTV Europe was broadcasting a three part special of the Depeche Mode concert in Cologne on October 5, 1998. The dates were: November 16th, 22nd, and 26th. You can find these live footage as video bootlegs (for example, at Gorbushka).

• The Singles 1981-85 was released on October 26, 1998 (in UK)(in USA on January 19th). The album features 17 digitally remastered tracks, including the bonus tracks: Just Can't Get Enough (Schizo Mix) and Photographic (Some Bizarre Version). The new release has completely re-designed booklet/packaging; artwork was made in the same vein as The Singles 86>98. Album was released in CD/MC/2LP formats.
