| Elliot Smith "XO" | Elliot Smith's 4th album definitely shows him "maturing" and trying more styles than the usual simple acoustic-only music. This album is more like a band effort with a lot more other musicians helping him out. Which is of course great too, since it adds variety to his music. This album is like his 3rd release "Either/or" but more defined and even better. Singing wise even more refined now. Songs of love, life, angst, just like punk, except without the distortion.
