"The Other Links"
Alright. Shocking as it is to admit, I like other bands besides Oasis. And other things besides Oasis. Therefore, I decided to make a page for...other links besides Oasis. These are links to my other favorite bands, plus some extra comedy stuff at the end. Have fun, and nobody gets hurt.

OTHER BANDS
BUSH

Wooooah daddy. ; ) I'd like to make it perfectly clear that the fact that Gavin is obviously to die for is not the main reason I like Bush. It's just ONE of the main reasons. ; ) Gavin Rossdale is the best looking, greatest, hottest, most wonderful...he's...I'll just let Saffron say it: DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. But Bush is also a fantastic band with an awesome sound, and people should take them way more seriously instead of just thinking that they're some kind of playboy band because Gavin's so cute. ; )
THE WALLFLOWERS

Speaking of cute....; ) The Wallflowers are just wonderful. And I totally appreciate the fact that Jakob Dylan can sing a few million times better than his dad. ; ) He's got a cool, unique voice that goes great with their sound. And such lovely blue eyes. ; )
NO DOUBT

NO DOUBT RULES!! I think they're kickin'. Even though I usually don't like bands with girl lead singers, 'cause I just don't think most of their voices fit with what they're trying to do, Gwen Stefani rocks! She is THE total sk8er/ska-style chick. No Doubt can NOT write a bad song, and their songs have such an awesome beat it makes you just wanna get up and bounce around for a while. (By the way, just about the only other girl-singer band I can stand is Republica)
SPACEHOG
"We love the all, the all of you..." FOR THREE YEARS (are you listening to me, Spacehog?) I had that song stuck in my head until these guys finally released a new album, and I STILL have it stuck in my head!! "In The Meantime" is probably my all-time favorite song. Ever. There's just something about it. You can drive to it, sk8 to it, sing along with it, or just sit and listen to it over and over, and it never gets old! But their new album also rules ("Mungo City, where are you..."). I would like to take this time to thank Brent for turning around in Geometry one day three years ago, knocking my homework off my desk, and saying, "Have you heard of Spacehog yet? You've gotta listen to this, put these headphones on." I'd also like to thank my teacher, Mrs. Dickerson, for waiting to confiscate Brent's discman until I'd finished listening to the song. ; )
BLUR
Alright, I know, I'm not supposed to like BOTH Blur and Oasis, but hey. I don't think Blur are as good as Oasis musically, lyrically, or in the singing department (Damon's accent is just a BIT too much ; ), but Blur's songs are so fun and easy to listen to that you've gotta love 'em. They've got some great tunes: "This Is A Low," "Song 2," "Look Inside America"....so all I am saying is give Blur a chance. ; )
THE BEATLES

It's impossible to not like The Beatles. I'm serious. Anybody who says they don't like them is either trying to tick people off or just trying to make themselves different from every other person in the world. ; ) They've got the best songs, the best lyrics, the best music, the best of everything. Without these guys, rock 'n' roll as we know it wouldn't exist. SO ALL HAIL JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE & RINGO!!! ; )
AEROSMITH

Even if you don't like Aerosmith, you've gotta admit that Steven Tyler can scream better than any singer out there. ; ) That "ack-ack-ack-ack" stuff just cracks me up. But actually, there's no reason to not like them, either. They've been around for a long time and they're still just as popular as they ever were - you've gotta respect that. When you're out buying albums and t-shirts and concert tickets from a band that your DAD was going nuts over back in high school, you know this band has gotta be good. ; )
JIMI HENDRIX
The greatest guitarist that ever lived. Jimi Hendrix is a legend. His songs are almost electric there's so much emotion and power in 'em. Nobody'll ever play the guitar like he did.
METALLICA

Say what you want about Metallica, they rock, you know it, you shouldn't want to deny it, so turn it up as loud as it'll go and headbang til you go cross-eyed. ; ) Nah, but Metallica are just IT and they're still kickin' butt and takin' names.
INSANE CLOWN POSSE (ICP)
Out of all the bands I listen to, I get the most smack about this one. ; ) Go figure. I've heard it all: "You listen to them??" "They're sick!" "They're twisted!" "Are you insane?" Well, yes to all of the above. ; ) This is all I've got to say about ICP: if you really listen to their stuff, they're actually pretty good. You've gotta have a good sense of humor and an open mind to listen to 'em, though. Once you get past all the cuss words and some of the content, and once you stop taking everything they say so seriously (I think we all know they're not REALLY going out and murdering rednecks), you might just start to like them, like I did. And then you'll be hooked......and you'll slip into the void where the faces of the Four who have come and the Two who have yet to come haunt your dreams and make your life a waking nightmare until the Dark Carny pulls into town and your life as you know it ends and you plummet down the spiral twist to the place where the Carnival of Carnage is forever led by the Ringmaster, the Riddle Box unleashes its surreal terrors upon the earth, and The Great Milenko waves his wand over your mortal soul.........just kidding. ; )
MARILYN MANSON

I'm not even gonna start to explain myself on this one. For the record, I DO NOT worship Satan (don't even like the guy ; ), I DO NOT worship Marilyn Manson (anyone who does is mental), and I DO NOT listen to him because I'm in severe need of attention. ; ) I like the music, I like some of the man's philosophies, if you wanna know all my thoughts on him, click here.
JAMIROQUAI

I LOVE JAMIROQUAI! Their music is so funky and cool....and to think I never even liked jazz music. ; ) Jay Kay has an AWESOME voice (not to mention an awesome hat). I can just sit around and listen to this stuff for hours.
BEN FOLDS FIVE
Alright, I admit it, I am a TOTAL Ben Folds Five fan. ; ) I never thought I'd be listening to a band with not even a full-time lead guitar player (or two), but I can't help it. BF5's music is so easy and "go-with-the-flow," not to mention a complete crack up. Their lyrics are hilarious. "Give me my money back, give me my money back, you bitch...."
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
Okay, so they're extremely political, but they also ROCK! ; ) We need to have a band that's out there telling it like it is, and that's exactly what these guys do. Killer music, lyrics that mean something, what more can you ask for?
KORN

Korn. You can't mention that word at my school without it conjuring up pictures of sk8ers, baggy pants, loud, offensive, heavy rock music, black t-shirts and caps, decals on the backs of cars and trucks (usually strategically stuck somewhere near a "69")......well GOOD! That's what it's supposed to be all about. ; ) I know a lot of people who don't like Korn (most of my friends included), but you know what? You can just kiss the Korn patch on the back of my jncos. ; )
EVERCLEAR
BOW DOWN TO THE GREATNESS THAT IS EVERCLEAR!! ; ) I love this band. They've got such a killer sound...totally unbelievable. One of the best around today.
MARCY PLAYGROUND
"I smell sex and....can-dy..." You all know you love that song. ; ) There's something about Marcy Playground, and I haven't quite figured out what it is yet. Maybe it's just that they rule. ; ) They don't sound like anybody else.
FASTBALL
The song that just wouldn't die! ; ) You've heard it, even if you don't know you have. You can't beat it off the radio, MTV, VH1, M2, MuchMusic...."Anyone can see the road that they walk on is paved in gold, it's always summer, they'll never get cold..." Fastball is just a great band. Plain and simple. By the way, the page that the pic links to is my OWN personal Fastball page, thank you very much, because they didn't have one.
Offspring
"Ya gotta keep 'em separated..." Offspring is THE rebellion band. That's it. If you know of someone who wants to rebel against something and needs some theme music, or if you are thinking of rebelling yourself, please contact OFFSPRING. Their music rocks beyond belief. Loud, heavy, meaningful...I like them so much it's scary. ; ) And Brent (the Spacehog guy) and his band did a kick-arse job of "Self Esteem" back in the 1995 variety show, too! ; )
SMASH MOUTH
"Might as well be walkin' on the sun..." Dead cool ska-type stuff, you know you sing along when it comes on the radio. ; )
MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES

Ska, ska, ska! Don't ya just love it? ; ) These are The Bosstones, they rule, but I have to say I'd like 'em a lot better if they'd lose the dancing lunatic. ; )
THE CHERRY POPPIN' DADDIES
The Cherry Poppin' Daddies
I couldn't find a pic and I can't use any artwork off the official page without "the expressed written consent of The Cherry Poppin' Daddies," so just picture 'em in your mind. ; ) Unless, of course, you haven't heard of 'em, in which case SWING IS BACK, BABY!! CPD is a way cool swing/punk-type band with an even cooler look. "Zoot suit riot, throw back a bottle of beer..."
FUEL
Believe it or not, I couldn't find a Fuel website. So if you know of one, let me know. Anyway, Fuel rules, that rhymes, they're just too cool for words, so I'll stop trying to describe 'em. ; )
SUBLIME

Reggae-type music has never really been my thing, but Sublime was an alright band. I love "Santeria," and it's a shame Bradley died before they could record any more cool songs.
LIMP BIZKIT
Like their official page says, if you haven't heard of these guys yet, you will. THEY RULE!! They've got a really unique sound, cool songs, attitude.....there's some sound clips on the page, so go listen to 'em if you haven't heard 'em. NOW! ; )
SMASHING PUMPKINS
My dad likes the Smashing Pumpkins, so come on. ; ) They've got a totally distinct sound (you always know when it's them on the radio, right?), rockin' songs, and a name that encourages juvenile delinquency on Halloween. ; )
COAL CHAMBER
A lot of people I know haven't heard of these guys either, for some reason, so hear of them now. ; ) Coal Chamber is BIG TIME heavy metal, killer sound.....just too cool. Check out some sound clips on their page, too.
RAMMSTEIN

"Du...du hast...du hast mich..." I don't know what the heck that means, but it ROCKS! ; ) (Actually, it means "You...you hate...you hate me...") Another group that most of my friends don't know. Man, my friends are losers. ; ) J/K NEwayz, Rammstein is a German heavy metal band. So, obviously, the songs are in German, but that doesn't matter because the music rules. And props to Jody (guy from my town) for playin' 'em on his radio hour down in Carlsbad, "Col. Prong's House of Horrors." ; )
GREEN DAY
GREEN DAY!! How can you not love Green Day?? The loudest three dudes I've ever heard. ; ) Another band that can't write a bad song. You won't find a bad song on any Green Day album. It's just not gonna happen. They're the punks' punks and I love 'em. Especially Billie Joe. ; )
BIG WRECK
Can't find a website for these guys, either. Man, I'm just having a bad day. ; ) I love this band almost as much as they love that tune. ; ) If you haven't heard of them, they're just a nice, normal rock band that sound like a cross between Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd (if you can imagine that), and they have REALLY GOOD SONGS THAT GET STUCK IN YOUR HEAD FOR WEEKS.
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS
Stone Temple Pilots
STP rocks. What more can you say.
SUPERGRASS
I know a lot of Oasis fans are into Supergrass, too, so I guess that makes me one of 'em. Supergrass are one of THE best Brit bands around. I'm sort of a newish Supergrass fan (I first knew them as "that band that jumps around on pogo sticks in that one video"), but I'm getting obsessed real quick. ; )
COLLECTIVE SOUL
Collective Soul
Collective Soul is just an amazing band. They write meaningful songs that rock at the same time....the inspirational Rage Against The Machine, or something. ; )
KISS
The Godfathers of Heavy Metal! "Rock And Roll All Nite" might just be the greatest rock anthem ever written (you wouldn't believe how hard I fought for it to be our class song ; ), and KISS is probably one of the greatest bands. The makeup, the clothes, the songs, the VOLUME, Gene Simmons' tongue....they're just too much.
THE MONKEES

Awwwww. Aren't they cute? ; ) I don't care if The Monkees were just tossed together so somebody could make a television show, handed their songs, and didn't even play their own instruments. They did it a heck of a lot better than The Spice Girls. ; ) The Monkees sounded great, looked great, and their TV show was freakin' hilarious.
THE ROLLING STONES
The Rolling Stones
Another band that you just can't not like. How can you resist the music, the attitude, or the traction pull of Mick's lips? ; )
LED ZEPPELIN
Led Zeppelin
One of the greatest hard rock bands of all time. Maybe THE. You don't get tired of Led Zeppelin. Especially when Robert Plant and Jimmy Page keep going on tour. ; )
PINK FLOYD
Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd. They're an acquired taste, but they are so totally cool. ; ) Even though their songs last about 20 minutes each, it's 20 minutes of total awesome music.
OZZY OSBOURNE
Ozzy Osbourne
Ozzy Osbourne. Heavy Metal god. ; ) He keeps getting older, but for some reason, he gets better. I'm guessing by the time he's 80 or so he'll be, like, taking over the world. ; )

COMEDY
WEIRD AL YANKOVIC
Weird Al Yankovic
Weird Al, The King of All Parodies!! So, obviously, one of my heroes. ; ) I only wish I could screw up a song as good.... ; )
MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS
Monty Python
Nothing says comedy like Monty Python. ; ) These are probably the funniest dudes on Earth. I could watch their movies 24/7.
CHEECH AND CHONG
Cheech And Chong
Wah sappening, man? Talk about funny. Los Guys, Cheech and Chong, are probably the coolest comedy around. "Dave's not here..."
SOUTH PARK

"Oh my God!! They killed Kenny!!" This is definitely the greatest cartoon around. Oh what the heck, the greatest cartoon ever! Nothing more hilarious than a bunch of third-graders cussing like sailors. ; )
TWO GUYS, A GIRL, AND A PIZZA PLACE

BERG RULES!! This is my favorite Primetime sitcom. It's hilarious. If you've never seen this show, try to catch it. If not for yourself, then for Berg. He needs the attention. ; )
DARIA

This is the wittiest show I've ever seen. Humor that makes you think in order to laugh....dangerous yet appealing. ; ) My friends tell me I've got Daria's sarcastic attitude and wit and Jane's style and outlook on life. I tell them..."Those are cartoon characters....they're not real, you freaks!!" ; )
