rainking
"I belong in the service of the queen"

I never really got the meaning behind the words of Rainking, I just loved the song for being one of the more upbeat songs on AAEA. On the shallowest levels it really is a great pop song, a great melody with great harmonizing, and It’s just as catchy as let’s say, Mr. Jones. But that’s the real beauty behind it, it’s not JUST a shallow pop song, it’s something else.

It’s all about Adam’s philosophy about song writing and I love it. Rainking sings of excess, but that’s the simple beauty of true art in my opinion. It’s expression without limits, without restraint. It’s getting out every locked up emotion and feeling inside of you and just spitting it all out for everyone to see. It’s not a very easy thing to do, and most of the time it’s pretty scary because you don’t know what’s gonna come out, you don’t know how people are going to react to what they see. But I’ve done it, not all the time, but I have done it, and it is such a beautiful feeling, just letting a piece of your soul out.
